Dear ACG School Jakarta Community,
Here we are in June 2023, it does only feel like yesterday when we started planning the academic year and the yearbook and graduation Arriving at ACG School Jakarta and getting to know the faculty, operation staff, and, of course, the students and the wider ACG Community has been a pleasure.
We started the academic year with COVID protocols in place and slowly these have been lifted, and as we have seen across most of the world, society has moved to managing with COVID. Jakarta has always been a vibrant and bustling city, but seeing the difference from August 2022 when the shopping malls were still quiet to the end of the year where it is clear to see business is back, companies are adding staff to offices, and there is a new level of confidence in the city We have had the opportunity to meet with Chambers of Commerce and they are positive about the levels of business in the city
You might ask what does this have to do with ACG School Jakarta? For us there is strong positive movement for places at the school, allowing new students to join our amazing community, make new friends, discover our programmes, and join the sports teams, and the after-school activities. Adding to the diversity of our community and supporting intercultural understanding across the years.
And after 2 years, it means that we have started to review the campus and can start planning for the future to enhance the warm, positive, family-feeling environment that also meets the needs of the students and teachers, this can’t be done overnight, but even small changes can have a positive impact I have ended my first year here at ACG School Jakarta with Prizegiving Assembly, and then the Year 13 Graduation, I am proud to see the achievements of all of the students, and I would like to wish the Graduates of 2023 all the best at university as they take their next steps.
Have a wonderful summer vacation, see you all in August 2023.
