2022-2023 school year has been a year of new beginnings for ACG School Jakarta, as Indonesia and the rest of the world came out of the pandemic restrictions Many new staff members, including myself, joined the school and received a warm welcome from the school community.
As their parents moved to another country, some students left the school mid-year, and, at the same time, many new students joined us Through all these changes, our school community stayed welcoming, inclusive, mindful of differences, and valuing respect above all
“It is not so very important for a person to learn facts For that he does not really need a college He can learn them from books The value of an education is not the learning of many facts, but the training of the mind to think something that cannot be learned from textbooks ” In other words, "Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school ” (Einstein)
I expect ACG School Jakarta students reading this yearbook after many years will remember the peaceful, respectful, family-like social environment on our campus, even if they forget the names, the faces, the subjects we teach I believe the strong foundations they built in our school, will help them lead happy and prosperous lives
To our graduates and to those students who are leaving our school this year:
'May the road rise up to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields ”
And to our students who will be returning in August: See you soon!
