Cup Anemometer Barometer / Humidity Temperature BACKGROUND A renowned astronomer and meteorologist Thomas Romney Robinson discovered Cup Anemometer. Since its discovery then, it has undergone significant changes.

The cup anemometers work at an accuracy of more than 90%. But, there is a significant role to be played by the various applications where the cup anemometers have to be used. Based on the applications we have to decide whether we can use the cup anemometers or not. On a wind farm, a margin of 10% error is financially disastrous for the user.
