Richfield Public Schools to consider referendum renewal

Dining program offers seniors meals

A special study session was held before the June 13 Richfield District School Board meeting to discuss the options in renewing the current district referendum. The district referendum will be up for renewal in the 2012-2013 school year but may be addressed a year earlier, according to Business Manager Michael Schwartz. During the study session it was discussed why it would be in the schools best interest to proceed with putting this issue on a ballot this November. If the district waited, other issues like the presidential election would over shadow the referendum, according to Schwartz. Survey results compiled and presented by Springsted

The program offered for senior citizens age 60 years and up, but not limited to, is held at noon every weekday, Monday through Friday, at the Richfield Community Center, 7000 Nicollet Ave., in Richfield. Reservations are required two days in advanced by calling 612869-6662.
