Fencing

The Cayman Islands Fencing Federation (CIFF) is recognised as the official Olympic Fencing Team of the Cayman Islands. Brought to Cayman in 2019 by interested residents, the CIFF is prepared to engage the community, and trains budding students or active adults throughout the week. The Cayman Islands Gaelic Football Club (CIGFC) is one of the most popular clubs on the Island. The sport is easily learned with the club running introductory training sessions for new players. The club welcomes players of all skill levels. There are six women’s and eight men’s teams. Games are played at the Camana Bay Sports Complex and the season runs from January through June. The Cayman Islands Sunday Football League comprises eight football teams who play each other three times for a total of 21 league games throughout the season. The teams also compete in a knock-out competition, the Cayman Physiotherapy Cup, with the final being played in mid-May. Golf Courses

The Cayman Islands Golf Association is a great resource to find out about golfing in Cayman. Visit www.ciga.ky for information on tournaments, golf developments, and member benefits including insurance coverage on golf course liability issues and

handicaps. The North Sound Golf Club is Cayman’s only 18-hole Championship golf course. The par-71, 6,605 yard course has a rating of 73.1 and slope of 139. The Club is open to the public with daily, twilight and resident rates. The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club is set amid Grand Cayman’s lush scenery and was designed by Greg Norman. Hockey - Field

The Cayman Hockey Club meets for mixed games on Wednesdays from 6pm-7pm at the TE McField Annex field and Saturdays from 6pm-7pm at the Camana Bay sports complex. Hockey - Roller & Ball King’s Sports Centre offers several hockey leagues and programmes. Men’s roller hockey league plays on Tuesday nights. There are four competitive teams that play in the league and battle for the King’s Cherry Cup. The men’s ball hockey league plays on Thursday nights with drop-in on Sundays. Like the roller hockey, this is a highly competitive four-team league. There is a national ball hockey team which participates in the World Cup every two years and the Caribbean Cup is hosted every year at King’s Sports Centre with four to five international teams competing. Rugby

The Cayman Islands Rugby Football Union has its own pitch and clubhouse on South Sound Road. There are leagues for veterans, men, women and junior rugby players. Running

The Cayman Islands Marathon is held annually on the first Sunday in December. The event consists of a full marathon, half marathon, four-person relay and Kids Fun Run. It is extremely popular with both local and visiting runners alike. It’s also a Boston Marathon Qualifier.
