2015 Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame

A MESSAGE FROM THE CO-CHAIRS Dear Guests, Welcome to Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame! The Steering Committee has been working with the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank for almost a year to organize tonight’s event. It has been an honor to work with members of our community to support such a worthy cause. We are truly grateful that you have joined us here tonight, and by supporting Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, you have joined the fight to end in our community. We would like to thank all of our purveyors who gave their time and talents tonight, along with restaurants, wineries and additional food and beverage providers who donated services and products this evening. We encourage all of you to support these establishments year-round, just as they have supported this event. We would also like to extend our thanks for the generous in-kind and financial support from our numerous sponsors. Additionally, Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame would not run smoothly without our team of hospitable volunteers. Thank you! We owe one last special thanks to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame staff has put in hours securing the participation of Hall of Fame Enshrinees and working with the Steering Committee to ensure an unforgettable and successful evening. It has been a great pleasure to serve as co-chairs for Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year. Again, thank you for helping the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank tackle hunger in Northeast Ohio. Sincerely, Greg Long and Gary Smith 2015 Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Event Co-Chairs

A MESSAGE FROM THE FOODBANK Dear Friends, On behalf of the staff and the Board of Directors of your Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, thank you for spending the evening with us at Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Your support of the Foodbank allows us to continue to lead the way in the fight to end hunger in Northeast Ohio. We would also like to thank the Pro Football Hall of Fame for hosting us at their historic facility and the Hall of Fame Enshrinees for being a part of tonight’s event. To the 2015 event Co-Chairs, Greg Long and Gary Smith, we would like to extend a particular thank you for your remarkable effort overseeing the countless details of tonight’s Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame! With your continued support and partnership, your Foodbank helps place approximately 82,000 meals on the tables of Northeast Ohio families struggling with hunger, each and every day. Our member hunger-relief programs like food pantries, hot meal sites and shelters in our eight county service area rely on events like Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame to ensure food gets to those who need it most. Tonight, every dollar raised will help your Foodbank provide four meals for a hungry child, adult or senior in our community. Your attendance at Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame this evening shows your commitment to the cause, and for that we are truly grateful. Thank you for making a difference. Sincerely, Dan Flowers President & CEO

PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAMERS ANTHONY MUÑOZ, a 6-6, 278-pound offensive tackle, was the first-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals and the third player selected overall in the 1980 NFL draft. Some considered the pick a risk because of his multiple knee injuries and the fact that he played only one full game his senior year at the University of Southern California. But as the two-time All-America lineman (1978-1979) proved, the concerns were unnecessary. An exceptional straight-on blocker, Muñoz was agile, quick and strong. He had great foot quickness and agility necessary to block defensive ends. Considered by many to be the premier tackle during his 13-seasons of play, he started 164 of 168 games from 1980-1990. • Class of 1998 • 1980-1992 Cincinnati Bengals DAVE ROBINSON joined the Green Bay Packers as the team’s first round pick out of Penn State in the 1963 NFL draft. For the next 10 seasons in Green Bay, he was a big-play performer as the Packers became one of the most dominant dynasties in the NFL history. He established himself as among the finest linebackers in the game during a career that spanned 12 seasons, including two final years with the Washington Redskins in 1973-74. In all, he intercepted 27 passes which he returned for 449 yards and one touchdown. • Class of 2013 • 1963-1972 Green Bay Packers • 1973-1974 Washington Redskins JACK YOUNGBLOOD was the Rams’ quarterback sack leader, All-Pro five times and All-NFC seven times. He played in seven straight Pro Bowls from 1973 to 1979. One of his most outstanding single-game performances was against the St. Louis Cardinals in a 1975 playoff game where he recorded one sack, one forced fumble, one blocked extra-point attempt and returned an interception 47 yards for a touchdown. During a first-round playoff game in 1979, Youngblood suffered a fractured left fibula. However, he was fitted with a plastic brace and he played every defensive down in both the NFC title game and the Super Bowl. He played in a Rams’ record 201 consecutive games and only missed one game in 14 seasons, that one miss coming in his final year in 1984. • Class of 2001 • 1971-1984 Los Angeles Rams

PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAMERS ELVIN BETHEA, an outstanding prospect from North Carolina A&T, was the Houston Oilers third-round pick in the 1968 AFL/ NFL Draft. Most observers agree that for a third-rounder, he was a steal. In hindsight, and after 16 seasons of outstanding play with the oilers, it’s safe to say he was more than a “steal,” he was clearly one of the best players selected. An eight-time Pro Bowl selection, Bethea played in 210 games during his long career in Houston. He was named first- or second-team All-AFL/AFC six times and second-team All-Pro four times. • Class of 2003 • 1968-1983 Houston Oilers PAUL WARFIELD is recognized as one of the premier wide receivers ever to have played in the NFL. A first-round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns in 1964, Paul played in Cleveland for six seasons before going to the Miami Dolphins in 1970. He later returned to Cleveland in 1976 after five seasons with the Miami Dolphins and one season with the Memphis Grizzlies of the failed World Football League. Even though he played on ball-control teams through most of his career, he managed to haul in 427 passes for 8,565 yards and 85 touchdowns. His 20.1 yards-percatch mark ranks among the best in the history of the game. • Class of 1983 • 1964-1969, 1976-1977 Cleveland Browns • 1970-1974 Miami Dolphins
