Develop your skills and confidence in using the English language as you explore the learning culture at ACS Athens This program is designed for students who are non-native speakers of English and who have been admitted into grades 6 – 10 at ACS Athens. Instructors, who are experienced members of the ACS Athens faculty, will work with students in three groups (Elementary, Middle and High School), which will often come together for large group activities. Classes will be structured so that students are active participants who will be called upon to use the English language as they engage in a wide variety of individual and group. Students will develop their English speaking, writing, reading, thinking and listening skills as they learn about life at ACS Athens and explore issues related to the theme of what it means to be a responsible global citizen in a changing world. Students’ performance will be assessed throughout the course in a number of different ways. Learning activities require 3 hours of contact time daily and individual/independent work of 1-2 hours daily based on the i²Flex learning model of ACS Athens [www.isquaredflex.gr] Success in the program requires consistent attendance: students who miss more than one class session will be asked to withdraw from the program without a refund of tuition. TUITION: 600 euros
