Martis Bracelet Sale
All bracelets are handmade by ACS Athens PTO members. The “Martis bracelet” is an ancient custom for the beginning of Spring. The name is derived from the Greek word for the month of March, “Martios”! From March 1st, it is a tradition, especially for children, to wear a bracelet made of twisted white and red thread. The white symbolizes purity, and the red color stands for life and passion. Wearing the Martis bracelet also means you are protected from the burning sun.

The PTO was delighted to welcome Santa and the whole ACS Athens community to the Holiday Bazaar on Saturday December 2nd 2024. It was a festive event with musical performances from our students, Santa’s Village and lots of opportunities to shop, play games, eat, drink and be merry!
A big thank you to all the volunteers who made this a holly jolly Holiday Bazaar and a big thank you to all the volunteers who gave so much of their time and effort in order to make this a holly jolly Holiday Bazaar.

Centerpiece Making Workshop
We had a fantastic time at the ACS Athens PTO’s floral centerpiece workshop hosted by acclaimed florist Rena Stamatopoulou in our school’s Atrium. Witnessing the creativity and community spirit in full bloom was truly special. We laughed, crafted, and strengthened our community bonds.

The PTO was happy to support the ACS Athens Youth to Youth program with their holiday event for the refugee youth who are part of the program. It was a wonderful celebration of friendship, love and hope with dancing, gift giving and holiday treats.
Community Share
At Iliana Creative Ground participants learned about the ancient art of pottery making. They had an opportunity to paint two pre-made cups. Afterwards, everyone was able to make their very own creations out of clay - bowls, cups, ashtrays and other items, under the expert guidance of the wonderful teacher Iliana. It was a great opportunity to get creative while also enjoying the company of other ACS Athens parents. The PTO will organize a second pottery workshop in the coming month - stay tuned for more info.
