Please specify if you would like to enjoy a coffee or lunch afterwards at the Café-Restaurant located on the 2nd Floor (order and pay individually) so we can reserve in advance. The bequest of Anastasios and Maria Valadoros is one of the most significant donations the Benaki Museum has receive in recent decades. More than 300 icons and a large number of ancient and ecclesiastical artefacts form a charming assemblage which expresses the tastes and preferences of a cultivated bourgeois family in a 20th-century Athens. Among these works of unique importance is a rare, gold-embroidered fourteenth century epitaphios, a true masterpiece of Byzantine art.

Each participant (how ever many parents you would like, usually around 10-12) pays 10 euros for you to buy the ingredients and print the recipes. Everyone helps out with the cooking and then at the end of the “class” - everyone sits down to eat what they've made. email: pamela.stamatiou@gmail.com to set a date!

READING WITH DOUBLE VISION?!?!?! Do you believe that it’s easy to read pleasantly when the text which you read looks like the one in the photo?
Year 7, Issue 47
ANNOUNCING! ACS Athens Literacy Festival!
!
Wednesday, February 24th, 4 - 6 p.m. !
Students, Parents and Teachers will come together to celebrate literacy throughout our curriculum to encourage our students to become Architects of their own Learning.! THE PTO IS VOLUNTEERING TO BRING SNACKS (COOKIES, BROWNIES, CUPCAKES, FRUIT, CHEESE PIES, ETC). If you would be willing to contribute, please email: pamela.stamatiou@gmail.com for details.
! Well, neither can a child with double vision read this. So this child chooses to stop this really stressful and tiring procedure and turn his attention to something else, maybe a game or outside the window of the classroom! This child has visual dysfunctions which make it hard for him to do something easy for someone else, like reading! We should consider that this child doesn’t have any learning difficulties, dyslexia or distractibility. After observing the symptoms, an eye examination and a full optometric examination, Vision Training could be the solution. Through VT a child can develop and improve the visual skills. A SUMMER CAMP for children with learning difficulties.
! ! !
Believing that learning comes with fun, "O learning" decided to design and implement an Optimal Holistic Experience. This program targets to support individual learning needs associated with dyslexia, reading comprehension, writing, dyscalculia, by teaching specific study skills and create a “boost-up” on academic skills while enjoying a residential summer camp in Thessaloniki or a day-camp in Athens, Greece.
