SILENT AUCTION at the Spring Fair

HOW YOU CAN HELP The ACS Athens PTO is busy planning its annual Spring Fair to be held on Saturday, May 28th from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. MANY of you have been more than generous to offer

gifts in the past, and we THANK YOU! However, prizes and donations are needed again in order to support this fun event and to reach our fundraising goals. You, our parents can help! Here are some ideas to think about: - Make your own basket with any theme you can possibly imagine: a Coffee and Tea Basket, a Candle Basket, a Home Spa Basket, a Mani-Pedi Basket, a Baking Basket, a Beach Basket… Just choose a theme and coordinate the items in the basket to reflect the theme you choose! - How about a certificate from your favorite vendor? (Anything! Shops, salons, restaurants, hotels, service oriented businesses, those offering lessons or expertise..) A hair treatment, a manicure, a workout session, a pilates lesson, a horseback riding lesson, a certificate for a gift shop or jeweler, tire balancing, piano tuning, dinner for two, a special-order cake, tickets to a sport/cultural event, the list goes on. We will be happy to display anyone’s advertising information alongside the donation at the auction table. Free advertising! Please be sure to include a retail value on your donation so that we may determine the correct opening bid.

Thank you for helping us to make this event the best ever! All gifts/donations/prizes can be brought to ACS Athens and left with Melina Vassiliadis (located in the Administration Building, 2nd floor). Any questions, please contact Jennifer Ananiadis at jananiadis@hotmail.com or 694.580.6972

What is a Silent Auction? A Silent Auction is an auction without an auctioneer. Each Silent Auction Prize will be placed on a table along with a ‘bidding sheet.’ Individuals who wish to bid on a ‘prize’ can write their bids (the amount that they would like to pay for the ‘prize’) on the bidding sheet. Throughout the auction, all bidders can see all bids written on the bidding sheets and offer a higher bid in order to secure the prize. At the end of the auction, the highest bidder wins the prize.

We’ll send you all the information you need and provide you with cutlery, paper goods, etc. If you’d like to participate but aren’t ready to commit to a table of your own, please sign up to donate a dish to our “international table.” Contact: Casey Gripari: caseygripari@hotmail.co.uk 6955 466814
