DEVELOP FUTURE TALENT WHILE GROWING YOUR BUSINESS JOBS GROWTH WALES+ EMPLOYER INFORMATION
ABOUT JOBS GROWTH WALES+ Jobs Growth Wales+ (JGW+) is a training and development programme for 16 –19-year-olds that equips them with the skills, qualifications, and experience needed to gain employment or pursue further training. By working with us to offer placements or work tasters, your business can play a vital role in helping our young people develop their skills and confidence.
Why offer placements or work tasters? Discover young talent with ease Short-term placements or work tasters let you evaluate motivated JGW+ learners in real work situations without the need for permanent commitments. This gives you the opportunity to identify promising talent and benefit from their fresh ideas and energy. Shape the skills you need By offering work tasters or placements, you provide hands-on experience in your industry, helping young people develop the skills and attitudes needed for full-time employment, possibly within your organisation. Young Person’s Guarantee The Young Person’s Guarantee is a key commitment from the Welsh Government, ensuring all under 25s receive support for education, training, or employment. By participating in our JGW+ programme, your business helps develop young talent and boosts its corporate social responsibility (CSR) profile, demonstrating your commitment to building a skilled future workforce.
BENEFITS TO YOUR BUSINESS In addition to the immediate advantages of engaging with young people, partnering with us offers various business benefits that can enhance your organisation’s efficiency and productivity. Here are some key advantages to consider:
Cost free placements
Ongoing support
Long-term opportunities
Learners receive a training allowance of up to £60 per week based on their hours and we also cover meal and travel expenses, so providing a placement costs you nothing.
Throughout the placement, our team provides full support and guidance for both you and the learner, ensuring a smooth and beneficial experience for all involved.
Learners who do well during their placements are great candidates for future employment or apprenticeships. By partnering with us, you can easily transition these individuals into apprenticeships and reduce recruitment costs.
