AWARD RECIPIENTS
Greetings, ACUI Region IV Family! As we settle into shorter days and cooler temperatures across much of our region, I hope you are all adjusting to the changes and staying well. As the calendar year is coming to a close, perhaps more hot cocoa by the fireplace is in order for everyone. Many of us recently attended a fabulous Regional Conference at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. So much went into planning this experience, and I want to give a special shout out to our 2018 Regional Conference Coordinator Donnyale Ambrosine and her phenomenal Conference Planning Team. Thank you all for your hard work in creating the Regional Conference. I would also like to give a special thanks to our host institution Gonzaga University and the staff of the John J. Hemmingson Center.

Additionally in 2019, Region IV will begin using a new budget model to plan our fiscal well being, with goals to generate more resources and opportunities for our membership. We also look forward to spending time and sharing resources with our newest... Continued on page 6 VISIT REGION IV ONLINE

Regional Leadership Team Member Casey Payseno
Region IV Leadership Profile: Casey Payseno Hello Region IV! My name is Casey Payseno and I am proud to represent Region IV as your inclusivity coordinator. I am currently the assistant director of conference & event services at Portland State University and have been involved with ACUI since 2015. I became involved with the Regional Leadership Team after attending my first Annual Conference and meeting so many great folks from Region IV. The biggest draw for me to the Regional Leadership Team and Region IV is the welcoming environment that our region fosters. In my role on the Regional Leadership Team, I have had the opportunity to meet so many

amazing colleagues from across the region, and together we’ve taken some great steps forward in offering inclusive programming for our members. I am excited to continue in this role so we can further develop inclusive opportunities for involvement in our region. In my free time, I love to travel and explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my two dogs. As a native Oregonian, I’m constantly amazed at all of the beautiful parks, waterfalls, hikes, and beaches we have in our region. If you have any suggestions for ways that we can make our conferences, online programs, or any other resources in Region IV more inclusive, please reach out to me and share your feedback! We are always looking for ways to continue to lead the way with
