It was just two months ago that many of us were in Chicago for the ACUI Annual Conference. Our region had a great turnout at our regional meetup and we enjoyed getting to meet so many members from our region. For those who could not attend, we hope to see you at the Regional Conference coming up this fall!

Regional Leadership Team Sergio Renovato is the assistant director for the University Union, Center of Student Affairs Discovery Park and serves as ACUI Region II Membership Coordinator.
Ricardo Reyes is an associate director for Texas A&M Univeristy-Corpus Christi and serves as the Recognition Coordinator for Region II.
Stephanie Darden is a program coordinator at The University of Kansas KU Memorial Union. She serves as Inclusivity Coordinator for Region II.
Upcoming Events Important Dates Student Roundtables June 15 – Adulting 101: Managing Personal Budgets Come join other student leaders from around the region and learn how to manage your personal budget, how to create a budget, and other personal financial information useful to students. July 20 – Adulting 101: Navigating Professional Communication Come join other student leaders from around the region to discuss how individuals communicate, how to communicate professionally, and other important communication skills to assist in your roles and jobs. Save the date for our Regional Conference that will take place October 21-23rd at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. The conference planning team is excited to announce the theme of this years conference is The New U, focusing on forward thinking and reflection. Union Highlight Important Dates Let's take a moment to highlight the KU Memorial Union at the University of Kansas for their service project, The Big Event. The Big Event is KU’s largest single day of service. This year, students, faculty and staff had the opportunity to give back to the Lawrence community by completing yard work or outdoor activities typically for the elderly/former professors/staff, recreational parks, churches, and community centers. The Big Event happens annually with thousands of students participating each year.
