ZeroSpace is a new immersive art installation that blends “bleeding-edge technological art and actor-driven narrative” to create a truly out-of-this-world immersive experience. In a 25,000 sqft space, otherterrestrial beings and government agents guide you through mind-blowing technological installations with zero phones allowed. The artists featured include Ouchhh, Can Buyukberber, Hybycozo, Zack Lieberman, TUNDRA, Dan Schaub and more. ZeroSpace also features an alien elixir bar and interdimensional photo-booth. MUSEUM OF WEED Weedmaps, an online cannabis directory, has partnered with VICE’s creative agency, VIRTUE to create the first ever Museum of Weed in Los Angeles. The Museum is part of Weedmaps’ mission to break the stigmas around cannabis consumption. The 30,000 sqft experience features interactive exhibits, historical propaganda, and a 24-ft bong called Bongzilla while taking guests through the extensive history of the medicinal plant. The museum also houses a gift shop and cafe, but there is not sale of cannabis and CBD products onsite. However, they do invite you to write a letter to your congressperson showcasing your support for ethical marijuana legislation.

THE DEVOURING Hosted at The Paradise Club, the new brainchild of Studio 54's Ian Schrager, The Devouring: A Marriage of Heaven and Hell is an immersive dinner experience created in partnership between the club-collective House of Yes and Michelin-starred Chef John Fraser. Described as "a feast and celebration of being alive,” The Devouring is a provocative and explosive new cabaret spectacle featuring circus acts, burlesque and more and takes place over a multi-sensory, multi-course dinner. After the show, the club transforms into a dance floor featuring unique parties every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

CHAMBERS OF FLAVOUR V3 In 2018, the mad minds at Gingerline launched the third version of their multi-dimensional dining experiment, Chambers of Flavour V3. Like all Gingerline’s productions, the secret location was was revealed through text on the day of the mission. The fantastical food quest unraveled over 130 minutes fusing interactive performances and art installations, absurdist adventure and culinary exploration. The bravest gourmets made their way through seven intricately-designed chambers to dine on six out-of-this-world courses. Following V3’s sold out run, Gingerline has launched Chambers_, their fourth immersive culinary adventure—it is booking now through September 28th.

SOUND + VISION VICE and Samsung joined force to take over one of the world’s most iconic venues in 2016. Held at The Sydney Opera House, the 1200person “synesthetic music event” Sound + Vision blended multi-media art, interactive design, music and technology. Guests were treated to a mind-blowing collaborative effort between musicians, Oscar Key Sung, Empress Off, Banoffee and Charlies Murdoch and visual artists, Nonotak, Prue Stent and Tin & En, led by new media artist, Joe Crossley. They were nvited to use their Samsung tablets to create their own music and test out VR headsets with a f u l l y i m m e r s i v e 3 6 0 ˚ m u s i c experience featuring Flight Facilities.

BIKINI SUNDAE Bikini Sundae was a FREE indoor/outdoor summer party experience hosted and created by the Bushwick nightlife collective, House of Yes this July. The one-day afternoon event took place on a warm Sunday afternoon and featured pop-up pools for guests to cool down in, inflatable surprises, a custom pool shower photo opp, slushies, wine spritzers and lots and lots of ice cream! The music for the event was Kristos and Blu DeTiger while the dress code called for guests to "Wear your favorite bikini, speedo or caftan. Seersucker and summertime styles. Or whatever you feel hot in.”

FESTIVAL ACTIVATION

TWITTER BEACH Twitter was the talk of the town at the The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France this June. Alongside NYC & Londonbased production company, Wonderland Agency, the social media giant took over the Plage du Festival to create a massive beach takeover called Twitter Beach. The experience featured interactive cultural activations like a #PopMusic piano, a Game of Thrones Iron (Beachwood?) Throne plastered with tweets about the series and a replica Women’s Soccer Team Foosball game. The space was also home to a #SheInspiresMe talkback with Chrissy Teigan and a late night afterparty with performances by Steve Aoki and Ciara.

CARNIVAL ROW Amazon Prime partnered with Tool of North America for this years’ Comic Con creating a series of interactive experiences including a large-scale theatrical activation showcasing their new series, Carnival Row. After choosing a creature or human identity, guests made their way through dense marketplace full of the denizens of Carnival Row while being treated by the status-quo of their chosen character. With a special knock combination, they found their way into a secret speakeasy lounge where creatures took to the stage. However, when police shut down the club in the final chapter, the experience becomes a powerful lens into the parallels between today’s society and Carnival Row.

MCNUGGETS TOUR

MCNUGGETS TOUR McNuggets are hitting the road! Created by McDonalds and the London agency, Fuse, guests are given the chance to indulge in a classic through a new festival activation touring through the United Kingdom. While waiting for their nuggets, guests have the opportunity to turn themselves into a nugget through an 360AR Photo Booth experience and dunk giant chicken nuggets after they make their way through a McNugget maze. Of course, no McNuggets Tour would be complete without a copious amount of free nuggets. If their McFlurry Tour (which has currently served more than 88,000 McFlurries) is any evidence, there’s nuggets to go around!

APEROL BIG SPRITZ SOCIAL As a part of the 100 year anniversary of Aperol, the spirit geniuses at Campari along with creative agency, The Persuaders, created the inventive Aperol Big Spritz Social. Inspired by Venice’s seaside Lido, Aperol’s version featured a sun-drenched courtyard and rushing orange waterfall where fans of the delicious beverage were invited to row a boat through the orange canal before grabbing a refreshing Aperol Spritz. The event also featured an orange vespa carousel, DJ sets, an Aperol pergola for taking in the sunshine and traditional Italian aperitivos by the delicious pastry company Arancina—not to mention two complimentary Aperol Spritzes with each ticket.
