COMPLETED RUN 2019

DANDELIONS Dandelions was an two-day immersive installation created by the anonymous art collective known as The Art Department. Taking place in a decommissioned building at the Laguna Bell Substation, visitors were asked to enter a secret “wish-making factory.” Inside, guests explained their wishes in broad terms in order to not disqualify the secrecy of their wish, and filled out a wish exams on a 90’s style computer which processed the likelihood of it coming true. After being handed a snipped dandelion, guests took the final step of blowing its seeds into a sorting machine with thousands of other wishes journeying to come true.
