The upgrading of the conventional

It also showed much more accuracy in terms of overall tonal balance; it was more consistent front to back both in terms of tone and volume. The better sensitivity spec of the Adamson system became apparent as they required about 6 % less input from the mixing console for equal output, which will translate into cleaner sounding mixes in actual use.” The system installed featured 6 SpekTrix 5 degree boxes flown from dead hang fly points through the proscenium, on stage L and R, covering the floor and a single balcony. The main arrays are comprised of
one SpekTrix 5-degree enclosure and three SpekTrix Wave 15-degree enclosures per side, providing excellent coverage for the length of the club, which sits at about 18 meters (59ft), with the W’s suitably shortening the throw. The SpekTrix Lines 120 degree horizontal coverage is more than sufficient for the narrow space which measures 8m (26.2ft), resulting in thorough coverage throughout the listening area.

Domicil’s production management: “The old system was the first system in the new club, but unfortunately it did not meet the musical needs.” A shootout was arranged between Adamson, and well known German and French manufacturers. Adamson had come recommended by sound engineers, including Jörn Müller who commented that “Adamson is the best system for the buck”.
