Learn from industry experts how to get ready to start your own practice. Headlined by Albert Gigl, Principal at MW Partners – Specialist Dental Accountants, this half-day session will cover the buying process including information required to make an informed decision on the value of the practice.

The day will incorporate a number of specialists who will ensure that you have an understanding of the main issues which confront a dentist getting into business for the first time. Dental structures will be explained to ensure that your practice is incorporated in the most tax efficient manner. A review of the advantages and disadvantages of buying compared to starting from scratch will also be discussed.

Legal matters to be considered, including review of sale contracts, lease of premises, and permits/licence requirements. Getting your finances in order and obtaining pre-approval will be discussed together with an explanation of loans, leases and lines of credit. Issues to consider when fitting out (or re-fitting) a practice will be identified, together with the importance of good design for efficiency as well as creating the appropriate ambience in the practice. The session will be rounded off with instruction on the different ways to market your practice effectively.
