Waverley District Group Meeting Can general dentists perform orthodontics? What orthodontists don't want you to hear. Date: 31st August 2017 Time: 6:30pm for 7pm start Venue: Box Hill Golf Club 202 Station St, Box Hill South Presenter: Dr Geoffrey Hall CPD: 1.5 hrs

This lecture will demystify the area of orthodontics – it will provide a history of orthodontics and why orthodontists believe that orthodontics should purely be limited to specialists care. This lecture will demonstrate the fallacies of traditional orthodontic thought process and demonstrate that simple orthodontic cases are definitely in the realm of the general dentist provided they diagnose the case correctly, treats the appropriate cases and are able to use fixed appliances in the most efficient and correct manner. This will not be your typical lecture from a specialist orthodontist – but a lecture with a pragmatic approach to orthodontic care for the general dentist and his patients.

FEE: $90 Presenter: Dr Geoffrey Hall BDSc (Melb), CertOrtho (Uni of Penn)

RSVP: 24th August 2017
