Ada Wong is an Interior Designer in Hong Kong with experience in various commercial projects. She has worked across different design stages, including Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction. Her broadminded approach and adaptable attitude have earned her excellent feedback from clients. Ada's innovation and dependability have significantly contributed to the success and advancement of her and her teams.

Ada received her Dipoloma of Architecture technology from Centennial College (Canada), Bachelor of interior design from Birmingham City University, and her master of urban environment design from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Both before and after her education, Ada's enthusiasm from her design experiences has been evident in all of her works.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BUILDING DESIGN

Address : 50 Upper Rouge Trail, Scarborough, ON M1B 6K4

Current Building : Alvin Curling Public School

Lot Area : 18,700 SM

The foundation of the elementary school building design project is to create an equal and supportive learning environment for 654 students in Toronto, with a sustainable approach on both educational and social platforms. I began with site research, studying the impact of topography, weather, and landscape. According to LEED requirements and Toronto Green Standard, I calculated daylight exposure, parking needs, and material selection. Following this, I progressed through Schematic Development, Design Development, and Construction Documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, and hand sketches.

Street Intersection : Upper Rouge Trail and Antelope Dr. ( Two-way traffic) Site Topography

J.D.BARNES provides the topography of block 170 registered plan 66M-249. In 2011, it showed that the center of the site is nearly flat, and the slope starts from East to West between 138-140 meters high, therefor the main building can be considered to be built on a flat area.

As the Topography Plan showed, a rainwater pond can be located on the Northwest side of the lot, the construction and school design should ensure effective water management and runoff especially when heavy rain

The foundation of the strip mall building design project is to create a sustainable environment for commercial users. Based on the location and in compliance with LEED requirements and OBC Supplementary Standards, I developed a strip mall using recycled materials and various eco-friendly systems. Additionally, I considered accessibility for all users.

International Campus in Guangzhou, developed by New World Development and Benende. Our team managed the project from schematic design to design development, material selection, and construction documentation. Throughout the process, we collaborated with external parties, including clients, users, and consultants from various categories, to understand their behavior and space usage, ensuring it aligns with their new educational journey. Additionally, we worked closely with our internal team, including architects and colleagues in China. Our strong time management, multi-tasking abilities, and high communication skills enabled us to deliver high-quality work.

The project site is in the basement, chosen for its privacy and high-security potential. Safety is ensured through 'Privacy' and 'Security,' incorporating English design culture characterized by harmony and symmetry. The entrance and reception area feature brown molding with detailed frames and stainless steel fixtures, complemented by a marble floor, creating an atmosphere of distinction for honored guests.

The reception desk is made of dark brown marble with molding, set against a backdrop of brown with harmonious lighting, drawing attention and providing a focal point opposite the concise sofa set. Every element and design choice is interconnected.

Residient Workers

Chinese style with culture and quite elements is the purpose of user interesed. According user like ink drawing with warm and simple element, chinese visual is suitable for them.

Feature of white and light brown wood with stright line pattern are bringing peaceful to the living space. Also, they'll match with user's art work. In master's room, element of chinese gold frame are often ornate and reflect the pattern to the high cabinet. For furnitre, we choose chinese wood style.

Overall, the flow of the space is bring relaxing and quite. Also, it can satisfy user's habby, which is exhibit his art work.

Users are an old couple and a girl, thire request in living room is integration with plane and concise. Therefore we use all hidden door to integrat by one type of wallpaper. With beige color and dark wood patten environment, carpet has drawn attention and light up the space with vitality and moderate. Beyond, their granddaughter which is warm and love pink color, we add an upper level, warm wallpaper and pink carpet in her nique bedroom. Her princes bed with dressing table also incress the vanity. For her study room, we use irregular shelf and C shape sofa on the window sill. That can incress her interest of study.
