My Face Book 2010 “I am who I am but I can be someone else”

Varje dag under ett år fotograferade jag mig själv och la ut bilden som profilbild på Facebook. Det började som ett sätt att söka jobb och nya uppdrag; Vem är det som efterfrågas? Vem kan jag vara/bli? Hur presenterar jag mig själv? Det resulterade i 365 bilder, 365 möjligheter. Men bilderna är inga självporträtt i dess ursprungliga betydelse, utan varje bild förkroppsligar en reflexion, en idé, en tanke. De gestaltar mina personliga känslor och iakttagelser, men kommenterar samtidigt aktuella hän-

delser och nyheter, kända tavlor, filmkaraktärer och fotografiska ikoner. Projektet växte fram dag för dag, vecka för vecka och successivt tog det sig an olika teman: Clownen, ekologi, businessman, manipulerade bilder, fotografiska manér, -ismer inom måleri etc. Fredagar och lördagar var mer privata, medan söndagarna hade en religiös underton. Bilderna togs i studio mot vit bakgrund och egen rekvisita, med undantag för några veckor i augusti och november då jag var i Frankrike. Projektet undersöker våra fotografiska normer och möjligheter att skapa fiktiva alter-egon. I gränslandet mellan verkligheten och virtuella världar försöker vi orientera oss genom ett ständigt flöde av information och vi tvingas lära oss helt nya sociala koder. Processen utvecklades i dialog med mina vänner på Facebook till en dagboksliknande levnadsteckning, ett virtuellt experiment, där globala nyheter och mina personliga sinnesstämningar reflekterades.
