Board Member of the Month Mary Penelope Jackson “Penny “Morris, TTB/ Logistics Specialist at Jack Daniel Distillery has been on the Board of Directors for 1 year. Fun Facts about Penny: - Her and her sister were adopted at 3 and 4 years old. Raised by an amazing lady, Jean Jackson. - Grew up in Cowan and has also lived in Nashville, Cleveland, Estill Springs and currently Winchester. - A natural redhead that turned blonde instead of gray “yay” (her words not ours, we think she’s beautiful.) - Happily married to Robert Morris and has 5 children (Allie, Taylor, Sydney, Graham, and Riley) and 5 grandchildren (Amelia, Arayla, Taylon, Lily, and Grayton). - Worked at UTSI for 20 years and has been at Jack Daniels for 10 years. - She enjoys spending time with family and friends. - In her spare time, she loves to create stained glass, hike and shop! Why is she a chamber member? - “Since I work in Lynchburg and live in Winchester, I thought this would be a great way to be more connected with our county. So, when the opportunity came open to represent Jack Daniel, I graciously accepted. I am confident that the Franklin County Chamber is going to evolve into a great advocate for businesses in our county and the surrounding counties. I am looking forward to being part of the growth.” As James Cash Penney, founder of JCPenney, once said “Growth is never by mere chance; it is the result of forces working together.”
