Passport is the most essential document that you should keep safe and you should pay an extra attention to securely place it in your belongings, it won't even be possible to leave the airport in the home country. Other important documents include: ·Acceptance letter from the institution ·Study visa permit information as it will be required to show the immigration counter at any airport when you arrive at your proposed destination. ·passport-sized, biometric photos. It is quite possible that you will get these at your destination airport but you should keep them prior to departure.

Items to Put in Carry-On Luggage Items that are needed immediately upon arrival should be in carry-on luggage. It is also important to note that sometimes luggage does get lost so one should not keep any important travel documents in the checked baggage, such as: ·All important documents including passport and above listed ·One or two clean underwears, shirts something in accordance with the changed weather of the destination country. ·Don’t forget to use clear plastic bag for toiletries, ·You should have enough cash to get to the destination (apartment, host family's home, student housing) in the other country due to the reason it might be the case that some means of transportation or ticket machines may not accept credit/debit cards

Packing Most students find when it comes to packing, that less is better. Only absolutely necessary items should be brought. Here's a general list to use as a guideline: ·Clothes ·Passport (and a copy) ·Visa (if needed) ·Toiletries ·Money (pounds, euros, credit/debit cards) ·Map/guidebook ·Camera ·Paperwork (for hostels and transportation)
