Refreshments Provided is an exhibition organised by the MCAST Art & Design students. The event’s main priority is to promote emerging talent from the local design industry by showcasing a selection of projects made during this scholastic year. Participants will be given the opportunity to expose their individual best quality works to potential employers and investors. We are estimating an average attendance of 400 guests for the opening of the exhibition on the 3rd of July, and it will last one week. We are looking for partners to help us back up the costs involved for this event, mainly for promotional purposes and set-up materials. Promotions involve posters, flyers, invites, and give away brochures for the opening night. The Material costs are for the stands displaying the work in the exhibition. The participainting partners will benefit from considerable publicity deriving from different media and social aspects that are stated into detail further on. On the other hand we would also like to invite any prospective partners or representatives for the opening of this event, so as to thank them personally for their generous support.

The Institute of Art and Design was originally located in Valletta where aspiring artists followed apprenticeship courses that focused on developing design related trades. When Mcast was founded in 2001 it joined forces with the foreign institute B-TEC and moved to Mosta; a building that was used as Malta’s trade school which also served as a barracks during the war. 178 students enrolled themselves to the college in the first year with student attendee numbers increasing yearly. Young artists were given the opportunity to graduate in 3D design or Graphic Design, yet during the past years more courses were introduced: Photography and the Bachelor of Arts in Media which allows students to express their ideas to the world through their preferred medium. The institute of Art & Design is the key to connect creatively with the community of designers around the world.

WHY SHOULD YOU?
Government representatives and the local media recognise the exhibition. In fact, Mcast is one of the few educational institute that offers full-time courses in Art & Design in Malta. Government officials will also provide an introductory speech on the opening night thus giving a direct evidence of support.
Since the aim of the exhibition is to promote local design, the company will acquire a positive relationship with local designers and the general public in supporting such events. The company will also receive a social responsible status. Also, your products may be used to showcase new concepts and material that may improve the profile of the products you sponsor.
The exhibition will be featured on local evening news, local newspapers and supplement magazines, which will create the benefit of ongoing and repeat exposure. In addition to the privileges provided to regular participants, the main partner will hold a prominent position in the advertising and marketing campaigns before and throughout the exhibition whether they are printed or digital. Other printed give-away material during the exhibition will also feature the respective logos.
