Coaching programme to promote equal access to education in Colombia This year, LCLL has been selected as provider of choice for an exciting project in South America. The Republic of Colombia has launched 'educacion de calidad' initiative, providing education for 2.3 million children in schools identified as being the most disadvantaged in the country. Many of these schools are in rural areas, some without roads or basic electrical supply. At the programme’s core are 100 local facilitators who work with the schools for whom LCLL is providing coaching and leadership development programmes. This is a courageous programme, demonstrating tremendous political will to promote equal access to education with which the LCLL is proud to be associated. We were honoured when Maria Fernandes (the Minister for Education for the Republic of Colombia, shown above with Max Coates, LCLL) said ‘We researched a provider carefully and are secure that we have brought in the best of the best'.
