U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden Public Affairs Office

Sergeant Major of the Army, Command Sgt. Maj. Daniel A. Dailey, appointed in January, spoke to Wiesbaden’s Soldiers during a townhall Sept. 8 at the Tony Bass Auditorium. The Army’s top enlisted Soldier spoke about his and the new Chief of Staff Sgt. Maj. of the Army of the Army, Gen. Daniel A. Dailey Mark A. Milley’s, top priorities, including Soldier deployability, bolstering training for non-commissioned officers, drawing down the Army responsibly, maintaining trust with the American public, taking care of Soldiers and Families for life — and in particular, reassuring European partners. Dailey, who served as a specialist in Schweinfurt, Germany in the early 1990s, remarked how important the work Soldiers are doing in Germany is — “while you’re on the street in Germany or while you’re in uniform in Lithuania.” See ‘SMA’ on page 9

Nearly 100 people, including the German Landeskommando Commander Brig. Gen. Eckart Klink and students from a local German middle school, attended the Observance Ceremony to honor, pray and remember. The U.S. Army Band played the German and U.S. national anthems, and the poem “The Towers Fell” by Galway Kinnell was read. See ‘9/11’ on page 9
