rom the entrance to the cemetery, the headstones of all 5,076 fallen service members couldn’t be seen on the cold, foggy morning Nov. 11 during a Veterans Day ceremony at the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial, Luxembourg, but those honoring them were clear as day. Airmen from the 86th Munitions Squadron, Ramstein Honor Guard and Spangdahlem Air Base stood motionless, honoring centuries of sacrifice by their uniformed brethren past and present. “We’re doing this to commemorate Veterans Day and all the veterans who have served,” said Master Sgt. The cemetery holds the remains of 5,076 American service members, most of whom died during the Battle of the Bulge.

The 7th Civil Support Command hosted Lt. Gen. Jeffrey W. Talley, chief of the Army Reserve and commanding general of the U.S. Army Reserve Command, Nov. 4 to 6. During his visit, Talley met with troops at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center; attended a foreign consequence management capabilities demonstration; participated in a working lunch with several general officers, including Gen. Philip M. Breedlove, commander of U.S. European Command and Supreme Allied Commander, Europe; and hosted a town hall for 7th CSC Soldiers, families and civilians. Photo by Maj. Meritt Phillips
