Gasherbrum 2, the world's 13th highest peak and one of the fourteen 8000m peaks, is situated at the head of Pakistan's Baltoro Glacier with neighbouring giants such as K2, Hidden Peak (Gasherbrum 1), and Broad Peak.
The climbing is not especially steep but the remoteness of the setting makes this an especially rewarding experience. Whether this is your first 8000m peak or your third, the nature of climbing in this region will have its own unique flavour.
The expedition will attempt the normal route on the peak and establish three camps before mounting the summit attempt.
This is a big mountain expedition, and although it is regarded as slightly harder than Cho Oyu, it is an ideal training peak for Everest.
