Black Angus Cattle Competition

Black Angus cattle were first introduced to the Darling Downs in the 1840s and have been a major breed for graziers ever since with their renowned ability as a carcase breed and high quality meat.

The Black Angus is the preferred breed for the Japanese beef market where their propensity to marble, their white fat and bright red lean meat is much sought after. It is a popular breed throughout the world.

The Clifton Show competition for Black Angus cattle covers 15 classes with competition held on Saturday 18th February.
