Exploring The Local Area

Fun, excitement and adventure was the order of the day for Year 3 at Cambooya State School recently, with a morning spent exploring their local area.

Students walked from the school down to the local park and creek area to explore and investigate using a variety of their senses.

The focus for the visit was several key learning areas including Science, HASS and The Arts.

Students collected a variety of Living and Non-living items for discussion back at school, learnt about some of the important spaces in the area and investigated how to protect the important things in our local area.

A bonus discovery was the site of the old local cheese factory.
