When bonding HOMAPAL Polished Aluminium Laminates on suitable base material take care of absolute cleanliness. Particularly, when using a block press you must take care that no dust particles adhere to the lower side or back of the sandwich board; they can transfer marks to the next polished aluminium surface. Impurities in the adhesive must be avoided. In certain lighting conditions or certain light sources anodised polished aluminium surfaces may display slight interference colour variations. Therefore HOMAPAL Polished Aluminium Laminates should be viewed under relevant lighting conditions prior to application. Bending radii of less then 200 mm can provoke fine hairline cracks in the surface barely detectable with the naked eye. These are a specific characteristic of anodised surfaces and do not indicate a defect. 488 490 500/491

Stainless steel laminates are engineered for limited horizontal use due to the specific features of the surface material. Strictly observe the maximum application temperature of 80°C. Please note that during processing flying sparks might be produced due to the material used. Due to the specific features of the stainless steel, special conditions are valid for processing (sawing, drilling, milling). You will get detailed recommendations how to proceed proposed by company Leitz on request.

Please note that during processing flying sparks might be produced due to the material used. HOMAPAL magnetic boards use iron foil (no iron powder) and, therefore, show a strong magnetic effect. ATTENTION: By all means, sheets must be transported flat to avoid folds and cracks in the surface. When sawing the magnetic board in our plant we achieve the best results with the following parameters: Carbide tipped circular saw blade - „Dry cut“-305 x 2,2/1,8 mm Z 60 = T 15,96 1500 r.p.m. Workpiece feed: 8m/min. Please note that in case of double sided decorative magnetic boards the laminate must be slitted beforehand on the bottom side in order to make sure that a clean cut is achieved on both sides of the magnetic board. HOMAPAL magnetic boards should be used in well air-conditioned rooms. Drying of the surface by too dry room air conditions or direct heat influence should be avoided (risk of cracking). A short-term temperature influence on the laminate up to 60°C is possible. When applying dampness impermeable materials on top of reference # 8200 never use water containing adhesive as the dampness of the adhesive cannot escape and the adhesive bonding can consequently not dry. On the surfaces of the items # 8204 and # 8210 smaller capillary marks are more visible compared with the other items because of the degree of gloss in combination with the colour. These marks are unavoidable. In case of doubt please contact us. Upon request we are quite prepared to send you a bigger sample for inspection. The items # 8217, # 8219, 8226, # 8231 and # 8241 are only limited dry wipeable; a frequent intensive cleaning is necessary. Please ask for our technical data sheet. Attention! The surface of the items # 8226, # 8231 and # 8241 disposes of the characteristics typical for this material e.g., regarding surface wear. Due to production reasons slight tolerances in the degree of gloss are unavoidable. In case of doubt we recommend to inspect the HPL before processing in view of a uniform degree of gloss. In case of questions please do not hesitate to contact our technical department. a b c d
