Popular event continues to grow
2012 will be a very big year for KidsFest KIDSTOWN Team Leader/KidsFest Programs Coordinator, Tracey Toy said, “KidsFest 2012 is set to be an action packed two days with a huge program of events to suit families from across the region and beyond. “But it is the launch of this year’s program of Umbrella Events which has got us really excited. “The people of the Greater Shepparton region have shown us a great deal of support over the years and by branching out into our Umbrella Events, we are hoping to return some of this support back to the local community and to really grow on what has become such a successful event for the region.” Last year, KidsFest welcomed approximately 15,500 people to the Greater Shepparton region, a 28 percent increase on the year before
Celebrating the region’s largest children’s event
AS a part of their ongoing and active role in supporting the local community, Coles has again thrown its support behind KidsFest 2012 for the third consecutive year. Mooroopna and Kialla Store Manager, Marc Spillman said, “KidsFest is a great community event which touches base with the younger community who are very important to us. “It’s quite a fun day for our team to be outside in the elements and with members of the public, it’s something a bit different which we all enjoy and it’s all about the kids, which is great. “This year our relay for life team, the ‘Coles Cruisers’ will also be there selling raffle tickets and raising money for a very important cause, so people will have the opportunity to say hi and to be in the draw to win a 90 second grocery grab, which is a fantastic prize.” Come along to KidsFest on Saturday, September 22 and Sunday 23 and celebrate the region’s largest children’s event.
and this year, organisers have branched out to the wider community extending invitations to families across Victoria, throughout regional and metropolitan areas, creating the potential for this year’s event to be one of their most successful yet. Tracey Toy said, “We have worked tirelessly over the last twelve months to create something really special for this year’s event and for the region and we hope everyone gets behind it once again and enjoys all of the special events we have planned.” For the full program of events to run between Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, October 7 across the Shepparton region, visit www. sheppkidsfest.com.au/program or contact SPC Ardmona KidsTown on 5831 4213.
