Free fun for the kids over the school holidays
BE ENCHANTED… From left, Indie-Rose Davis, 4, and Enchanted Rainbow owner, Shelley Davis will be at the Shepparton Marketplace these school holidays, offering lots of fun activities. Photo: David Lee.
By Nicholise Garner AT this point in every school term my kids get grumpy and tired. They’re lethargic and testy, it’s as though the school terms are perfectly timed to get only as much and no more out of kids. Then there’s the sweet relief of school holidays and suddenly they’re looking something to do. Trying to find the balance between keeping them entertained and still being able to afford to feed them is a tricky one! Thankfully the Shepparton Marketplace has free activities to keep the kids busy these school holidays. The team at Enchanted Rainbow always keep kids well entertained with their well thought out and varied activities. In the first week of school holidays, from 11am to 2pm, they’ll be running Country Craft Workshops for kids and in the second week of the school holidays, the Shepparton Market Place will host the ‘Shopkins Immersive Zone,’ with Shopkins Swapkins where kids can swap and play memory games. There’ll also be interactive digital zones, which will be lots of fun for the kids. Take the kids out to Shepparton Marketplace this school holidays for an affordable bit of holiday fun. The holidays will run from July 3 to Friday July 14 and activities from 11am to 2pm weekdays. Follow Shepparton Marketplace on Facebook for more information.

Impacting social opportunities for parents A BRAND new community hub has been created at Riverside Plaza. Anyone who walks in there will notice Riverside Plaza’s fantastic new, free play area for 0-5 year old children, and the best thing is that it’s a permanent fixture. Slap bang in the middle of the food areas is this excellent play area enabling parents to gather with friends and enjoy a coffee, or even a meal while their little ones explore their physical capabilities in this wonderful, soft and inviting play space. Riverside Plaza will be holding an outdoor broadcast on Friday, June 30 from 9am to 1pm with free showbags going out to the first 200 lucky visitors. There will also be a novelty ‘Baby Show Time’ novelty show being held during this time so if you’d like to register your child, visit babyshowtime.com.au for more information. Main Course Butchers is also due to open any day now at Riverside Plaza. Catering to the ‘time poor’ customer, with fully qualified butchers and a qualified chef within the team, Main Course Butchers are offering semi and fully prepared hot and cold meal concepts. Follow Riverside Plaza on Facebook to stay abreast of all school holiday activities coming up for free at Riverside Plaza.
