Banking on new technology AS technologies continue to change and advance in every part of our lives, the world around us strives to advance to complement these changes and that includes our trusted local bank. The Adviser caught up with GMCU general manager, René Deen and talked about new developments at the credit union. Mr Deen said, “It’s an exciting time to be working in finance and new technology is a driving force to improve the banking experience. “Already, when our members use their mobile phone to access us they see screens tailored to their device. This makes online banking much simpler, with statement information and payment options custom made for a phone screen. “We are also talking with developers about adding card management options into a dedicated banking app.” Mr Deen explained another payment solution in development. “Right now lots of people are talking about making payments using their phone. A‘tap-and-go’ option where you tap your phone in a shop and the payment is complete. “GMCU has a phone tap-and-go solution in advanced testing, and it will be released to members in the very near future. Stay tuned!” GMCU will also be releasing another new product at the end of this month. “Our members will be able to apply for a ‘Low Rate Credit Card’

by visiting one of our branches, or completing an application on our web page. Like all our products it has lots of features, but remains a simple banking solution.” You can ask about these developments, or any of GMCU’s banking products by visiting www.gmcu.com.au, or calling in to a branch. Holistic approach to a healthier you IMAGINE a machine that in just 30 minutes delivers the same results as 10 hours at the gym! Well this is exactly the claim of Relax Health and Wellbeing owner, Daphne Freeman, in relation to her slimming machines, and the results speak for themselves! “I have owned two gyms and have had 32 years in the health and fitness industry and I’ve never seen results like these, in so little time. These machines work without exception. It doesn’t matter what their initial weight or fitness level, our clients are seeing real, lasting results in as little as five
weeks!” Daphne said. “The Relax’ slimming machine uses an innovative vacuum therapy – a combination of an ergometric bicycle or treadmill activity that burns ‘bad’ fat whilst being safe and effective. “Combined with our recommendations for a healthy, balanced diet, we can offer a holistic approach to weight loss and
overall health. We tailor a program just for you, including supplements, food diary/ plan, weigh-ins and education from the industry’s best in healthy living.” If you are ready to make a change in your life, visit Relax Health and Wellbeing at 632 Wyndham Street, or phone the team on 5822 2888.
