TYPICALLY spring holidays sees children energised as the weather warms up and days are brighter. Keeping the kids entertained can be an expensive and tiring process. As usual Riverside Plaza will be bursting with school holiday fun for all of the kids and best of all it’s free! During the first week of the school holidays, September 20 to 22, the team from Enchanted Rainbow will help children to create pirate and fairy themed craft. Kids will have loads of fun creating their very own
pirate sword or fairy wand. In the second week, September 27 to 29, kids will have fun in the giant ball and sandpit. It’s all indoors plus there’ll be daily treasure hunts. Activities will take place between 11am to 2pm so be sure to take the kids in to Riverside Plaza to enjoy some of the free fun activities. THE kids will love a visit to Fun City this school holidays with so much to do, it’s a great place for parents to enjoy a catch up with friends while the kids go wild. Fun City offers loads of fun for all ages and has an assortment of packages to choose from. Fun City business co-owner, Angie Shaw said, “Our all day pass is available every day of the school holidays from 11am to 5pm. “For those 8 years and over you get two go-kart rides and unlimited use of all our other activities for $55 per person. If gokarts are not your interest we have the All Day pass with just activities for $39 per
person. We also have our newly extended playground for the little ones at $5 per child and can be used all day long. As a part of the school holidays, we will have a movie night on Monday, September 19 at 7pm.” Fun City’s café and playground is open every day from 9:30am and all other activities start at 10am. Interested in caravanning & camping? WHETHER you’re an experienced caravan/ camper looking to upgrade, or a novice wanting expert information, Echuca’s upcoming expo has something for everyone. The Great Outdoor and 4x4 Expo exhibition manager, Richard Hiscock said, “We are really excited to be back at Echuca. The Echuca community loved and supported the expo last time, and we think there is even more reason for them to come this year. We’re bigger and better, we have more camper trailers and caravans and a huge range of camping and outdoor equipment.” There are bargains galore from the many exhibitors displaying the latest and innovative
products. Exhibits will include: caravan and camping, fishing, boating, pools and spas, 4WD and off road, travel and adventure, food and wine and much more. There’s a lot to see and do at the Great Outdoor Expo, including activities ranging from fishing and casting, to outdoor cooking, to gold prospecting demonstrations. Spring into action Free school holiday fun SPRING is in the air and now’s the time to shake off those winter woollies, get outdoors and enjoy some fresh air. The Activities in the Park program is a Get Mooving Greater Shepparton project and a Greater Shepparton City Council initiative which has been designed to encourage people to be outdoors, physically active and engaging with their community. The Activities in the Park program has been expanded to provide over 370 free and low cost activities for Greater Shepparton residents over eight months of the year, which are aimed to target physical, nutritional and mental health. Activities are designed to suit a range of ages, abilities and interests and are provided across
the entire municipality at various times throughout the week. The free ‘Get Mooving’ app is now available and lists each activity along with a description so that users know what the activity entails and what to bring. The ‘Get Mooving’ app also links activity locations to online maps making it particularly user friendly. It also enables the user to add their favourite activities to their calendar and sets reminders so you don’t miss out. The September and October schedule for Activities in the Park is out now, with the entire eight month program schedule listed on the Get Mooving App and at www. getmoovingshepparton.com.au Download the app now and Get Mooving!

THE team at Shepparton Marketplace are excited to offer free school holiday activities for families, with local entertainment provider, Enchanted Rainbow. Free activities for the kids allow mum and dad to relax while kids not only have great fun but also get to take home their workshop creations. During the first week of the school holidays from September 19 to 23, children can enjoy the ‘Pirate & Fairy Craft’ workshops. The team from Enchanted Rainbow offer daily craft workshops including making a pirate ship, fairy castle, magnet craft and decorating your own treasure chest. Throughout the second week of the holidays, September 26 to 29 ‘Spring Gardening’ workshops will be held. Kids will have fun planting and getting messy while
learning about the importance of gardening and best of all they get to take home their very own pot plant to grow at home. On September 30 at the ‘AFL Craft’ workshop, children get to make their own football pom-pom or team flag to celebrate the AFL Grand Final long weekend and on October 1 from 10am, kids can have their faces painted with their favourite AFL team colours to celebrate grand final day. Our lake is brimming with fish SPRING has hit and school holidays are just about upon us so what better thing to do than get outdoors and enjoy some quality family time in the sunshine.
