By Kelly Lucas SO far more than $140M has been invested into the Shepparton Education Plan, in which the Mooroopna Childrens and Family Centre have benefited from. The centre, which is co-located to the Mooroopna Primary School, celebrated with an official ‘cutting of the ribbon’ opening last week. The partnership between Greater Shepparton City Council, the Department of Education and Training and the philanthropic Colman Foundation have worked extremely hard to make a centre like this possible. AN EXCITING SUBDIVISION OF 175 RESIDENTIAL BLOCKS OF LAND IN A MASTER PLANNED ESTATE Corner Murchison-Tatura Road & Murton Road Tatura Victoria

AMENITIES & LIFE STYLE

LOCATION & INSPIRATION Tatura is in the Goulburn Valley region of Victoria and is a part of the City of Greater Shepparton. The town is under 2 hours drive north of Melbourne and 10 minutes west of Shepparton.

Silkwater Plains is a convenient 5 minute drive to the Hogan Street town centre with multiple supermarkets, hardware stores, a pharmacy and a variety of specialty shops. The town centre also has a selection of cafes for those that enjoy a daily caffeine hit. If you fancy a meal out, choose from Italian, Chinese or Indian restaurants, or grab a parma and a pot from the local pub. For families with young children, the town has a preschool and various primary schools, with secondary schools located in nearby Shepparton.

Silkwater Plains is a planned subdivision of residential blocks. The subdivision is located near serene open plains on the southern edge of the town. It is situated just a stones’ throw from the excitement

Weekends can be spent leisurely visiting nearby attractions such as Lake Mulwala, the various national parks and the numerous vineyards and wineries.

of the Tatura Racecourse where the jockeys wear their brightly coloured silks. One of the defining historical features of Tatura is a large water-wheel which can be seen near the roadside as you enter the town.

The subdivision’s proximity to open land, the racecourse and the importance of water to the town, proved to be a unique inspiration for the name of our estate – Silkwater Plains.

A place for lifelong learning THE centre caters for around 100 children and features contemporary learning and outdoor play spaces, and this multi-purpose space also includes Maternal and Child Health facilities along with paediatrician and wellbeing rooms. The centre is part of the Department of Education and Training’s ‘Shepparton Education Plan’ which is striving to improve education outcomes for young people in the early years of their life, through to primary school then secondary school and beyond. M inister for early childhood and workplace safety Ingrid Stitt attended the opening and cut the ribbon with two of the

children who attend the centre. She also spoke about how essential it is to give kids the best start to life, and the importance of early learning. “Developing happy and healthy young children is the key to their futures. This centre is spectacular, children and their families will benefit from this incredible place which will set children up for lifelong learning,’ said the minister. WELCOME TO COMMUNITY... WE PUT THE HUMAN BACK INTO HUMAN RESOURCES

X-FAC TOR w i n ner a nd Eu rovision contestant, Isaiah Firebrace performed at Greater Shepparton Secondary College (G SSC) on Monday to mark World Harmony Day, an annual celebration of diversity held every year on March 21. GSSC executive principal Barbara O’Brien said having Isaiah as the final act for Harmony Week celebrations provided the “icing on the cake” for what is an important event on the college's calendar. “Our status as one of the newest, most contemporary and culturally diverse schools in Australia has attracted a lot of interest and offers of support, from potential scholarship opportunities to partnerships, special events and much, more,” Ms O’Brien said. “We are grateful to bring these benefits to our students where ever we can.” Isaiah grew up in Moama and he is

the proud product of Yorta Yorta and Gunditjmara parents. After winning X-Factor in 2016, his life changed overnight, and he has continued to rise. “Isaiah is especially welcome,” Ms O’Brien said. “He is an excellent role model for all young Australians, our Indigenous students and as a person who really lives and understands our GSSC values, particularly Aspiration and Respect.” Before the exclusive lunchtime concert for staff and students, Isaiah took part in motivational workshops with students. These activities made up a series of events over Harmony Week that incorporate song, dance, sport and more to represent and celebrate the college's First Nations students and families, and the school community who come from Africa, Asia, Europe and Pasifika.

Isaiah in tune with GSSC Harmony Week has allowed GSSC students to bond in a big way and having X-Factor winner and Eurovision contestant Isaiah Firebrace cap off celebrations with a workshop and concert was the icing on the cake. A proud Indigenous performer, Isaiah told students how he was too shy, insecure and scared to “put himself out there” until a Year 8 school concert. They were enthralled to

learn how he overcame personal challenges, surrounded himself with positive people and found national and international fame. GSSC’s status as one of the most contemporary campuses in the country is opening up amazing opportunities for our students. Watch out as other impressive partners, including our national broadcaster, help us deliver learning on a new level!

Brewing anger at state of local roads

Parents’ parking prayers answers I M M E D I AT E c h a n g e s a r e b e i n g implemented at Greater Sheppar ton Secondary College (GSSC) in response to feedback about parking and traffic management in the area. The changes are a major overhaul to address changed road conditions since the college opened this year. Council have also extended the submission period by three weeks in light of these adaptations, which will inform the larger Shepparton Inner North Local Area Traffic Management Plan (Shepparton Inner North LATM). Additional parking, set to come into effect Friday, March 25, will provide parents 63 parking spaces near the college on school days during peak pick-up and drop-off hours. Timed 15-minute parking will be available on Feshti, Hawdon and Rea Streets, between 8.00-9.30am and 2.30-4.30pm on school days. Council is keen to hear feedback specifically on traffic management,

Important safety improvements for families

Thank you!

And please take note...

By Stephanie Holliday MANY roads throughout our region are a sore point for both local and visiting drivers. Potholes run rampant, despite what seems like constant roving roadworks and disruptions. Roads are generally the domain of the State Government, and Member for Northern Victoria Wendy Lovell, as well as Member for Euroa and newly appointed Shadow Minister for Roads, Steph Ryan, have expressed their discontent for the issue of local roads being seemingly ignored. In late 2020, Ms Lovell expressed her concern about a road in Tatura, after being contacted by a constituent from the road in question, Ross Street. Ms Lovell sought a funding commitment to upgrade Ross Street. In his response, the Minister for Roads and Road Safety stated that the section of in question would receive a full-width asphalt pavement treatment repair. No such repair has been conducted, with two Regional Roads Victoria workers completing minor repairs only following the request. As such, Ross Street has returned to its original poor condition, with the minor repairs destroyed by the constant use of the road by fully loaded vehicles. Tatura resident Leonie Ranson even

LOCAL ROADS A DISGRACE...Country roads have suffered from neglect ever since the axing of the ‘Country Roads and Bridges Program’ in 2014. Residents and local politicians wish to bring attention to the state of country roads. Pictured is Ross Street in Tatura. Photo: Deanne Jeffers

has a logical solution in mind. “I know it sounds odd for a small town, but perhaps traffic lights would help,” said Leonie. “The Government has no idea of the amount of trucks and carriers that use Ross Street, not to mention the nature of country town traffic in general.” Ms Ryan has recently expressed concern that the State Government is out of touch with country road needs. “I’ve invited the Minister to the Euroa electorate to see the true state of the state’s road network,” said Ms Ryan. “Country roads have suffered from neglect ever since the axing of the ‘Country Roads and Bridges Program’ back in 2014. We need to reinstate this program, which provides funding to help maintain local roads, and make regional roads a priority.”

Thanks to your community feedback, important changes are about to be made to improve traffic management around Greater Shepparton Secondary College (GSSC) including enhanced pick-up and drop-off zones for parents and students: • More than 60 designated car parking spaces on Hawdon, Rea and Feshti Streets will no longer be all-day parking • These spaces will revert to timed 15-minute parking between 8am – 9.30am and 2.30pm – 4pm on school days • These changes will be sign-posted and come into effect on or around Friday, 25 March 2022 These changes will allow for improved drop-off and pick-up of students – families are reminded students must use the Hawdon St pedestrian crossings at all times. These changes reflect Greater Shepparton City Council acting quickly to resolve key safety and residential amenity issues identified in early public feedback on the Local Area Traffic Management Plan. To enable the Council to monitor traffic around GSSC after these immediate changes take effect, Council will extend the public feedback submission period by an additional three weeks to close on Friday 8 April 2022. Minister hears plans for Munarra Centre By Deanne Jeffers T H E Australian Minister for Sport, R ichard Colbeck visited Rumbalara Football and Netball Club (RFNC) under his sport portfolio last week to hear the proposal for establishing the Regional Centre of Sporting Excellence (RCSE). Currently, in schematic design, the Munarra Centre for Regional Excellence (MCRE) will be an Aboriginal-led national pathway and university campus that will act as a critical enabler to deliver on the prosperity of Yorta Yorta and other First Nations people. At its core, it will unite and transform the Goulburn Murray region. Mu n a r r a L i m it e d a re s e ek i n g a funding commitment of $29M from the Federal Government to develop the RCSE. The first stage, upgrading RFNC and constructing the Munarra education precinct, has been fully funded by the State Government, La Trobe University and the University of Melbourne, RFNC and the

Greater Shepparton City Council. While being integral to Australian culture post-colonisation, sports has played a critical role in the lives of Yorta Yorta and First Nations people. While putting Shepparton on the map for global sporting events, like the Commonwealth Games and future Olympic events, this investment will build a collective, collaborative future for the Goulbourn Murray with First Nations people at its heart. “The work we are doing is to design a vision, to action a future for Yorta Yorta and Indigenous people,” said Paul Briggs OA M, executive chairman of Kaiela Institute. “We’ll get there, this funding will be of great benefit.” The MCRE responds to the Goulburn Murray Regional Prosperity Plan, which aims to achieve parity for Yorta Yorta and First Nations people, while delivering an additional $150M GRP each year to the region by 2036, through economic inclusion, prosperity, and shared values.

Investment plan to benefit our health system LATE last week, the Federal Government announced a $53.1M investment plan to increase the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workforce with a ten-year goal. The plan will seek to have Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people employed in the health sector from the current 1.8 percent to 3.43 percent, by 2031.

It would mean more local health professionals servicing the Murray and Goulburn regions Steve Brooks T his will mean an unprecedented increase in the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctors, nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, health workers and health practitioners working across the health system through the next decade, providing culturally safe and responsive health and medical care. The plan has been praised by Liberal candidate for the seat of Nicholls, Steve Brooks. “As a community with one of the largest Indigenous populations in Victoria outside of Melbourne this is a unique opportunity

ROUND TABLE... Many in attendance for the AACCI roundtable meeting for local businesses in Shepparton Monday to share insights on export opportunities, with guest speaker Ian Halliday, Australia’s Consul-General to Dubai and the general manager of Austrade for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey. Photo: Kelly Lucas

AT the roundtable, which was held at the Parklake Hotel, businesses in Greater Shepparton heard from Ian Halliday, Australia’s consul-general to Dubai and the general manager of Austrade for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey. Also present was Todd Miller, the incom ing trade and investment commissioner to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain and Oman, along with Cr Kim O’Keeffe, Mayor of the Greater Shepparton City Council. “C ou nci l were ex t remely pleased to welcome the roundtable to Greater Shepparton to share our success and build partnerships with people around the globe,” said the Mayor. The MENA region has seen significant growth in consumer demand across several industry sectors, presenting a wealth of opportunities to exporters. AACCI and special guests shared market insights and discussions around the geopolitical climate and highlighted key sectors around growth opportunities for Victorian regional businesses.

The Trade Alliance program (launched on September 7, 2021) is part of the Victorian Government’s $15.7M Export Recovery Package. The Alliance is working with exporters to improve their knowledge of topics such as the importance of crosscultural awareness, requirements for halal certification, the growth of halal trade, the impact of Covid on freight and supply settings, and how businesses can access the help they need to succeed in their export journey. “It was wonderful today to firstly visit the Rubicon Water and Noumi Limited facilities- magnificent local success stories for the Goulburn Valley. It was great to meet with and discuss the opportunities in the Middle East and Africa for food exporters and agribusiness specialists from the region at an industry roundtable. I would like to sincerely thank the Australian Arab Chamber of Commerce, Global Vic, Regional Development Vic and the City of Greater Shepparton for organising such a terrific day,” said the Consul-General Ian Halliday.

Anzac Day resources rolled out SCHOOLS, ex-service organisations and community groups have been sent Anzac Day commemorative packs to help ensure Australians never forget the extraordinary sacrifice made by our servicemen and women. These annual materials are provided free to support Anzac Day commemorations. This year’s pack includes posters commemorating our Anzacs and recognising the 30th anniversary of the Australian peacekeeping mission to Somalia. “Anzac Day is one of our most significant and sacred national days and we are committed to ensuring schools and other groups in our community have easy access to resources to help mark it in an appropriate way,” said Minister for Veteran’s Affairs and Defence

Personnel Andrew Gee. “This year we are also including resources which highlight the role and the stories of Indigenous personnel who served during the First and Second World Wars, and additional information about the service of Australian women in the Second World War, from the Australian War Memorial. “New online resources are also available, including the latest instalments in the series Expressions, which helps students understand commemoration through art, and Great Debates, which examines the role of the Australian media in the Vietnam War.” Digital resources and more information can be found online through the Anzac Portal: https://anzacportal.dva.gov.au

ROUND UP MARCH 2022

IF YOU DRINK AND DRIVE... There's a timely reminder for drivers from Victoria Police that there is no tolerance for drink driving. Police take drink driving incredibly seriously. They are conducting random breath tests at all times of day and night, on main roads and the back roads. Sometimes you’ll know they're there, sometimes you won’t. Remember, you don't have to be drunk to be over the limit and you certainly can't judge your blood-alcohol level by how you feel. It is better to be safe than sorry and it is never worth being caught, or worse, seriously injuring or killing yourself or other road users.

ARMED ROBBERY Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad have released images of two men they are looking to identify as part of their investigation into an armed robbery at the Peppermill Inn in Kialla last December. The two armed men entered the gaming venue on the Goulburn Valley Highway about 11.55pm on Thursday, 9 December. The men were both masked and armed with a knife. It’s believed they left the area in a blue coloured sedan and headed north from the venue. Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are investigating the incident and are hoping someone can provide information about the identity of the people in the images. Anyone with information about criminal activity is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or by submitting a confidential report at www. crimestoppersvic.com.au.

Access to the universe for all PEOPLE living with a disability will now have the opportunity to delve deep into the cosmos due to new cutting-edge technology to be unveiled to the public on Saturday, March 26. A new telescope, developed by the Astronomical Society of Victoria (ASV), will allow people living with a disability, especially those living in a wheelchair, to look into the telescope’s eyepiece at a low level that is comfortable for the observer. “Now I know that by using this telescope, I don’t have to be in pain for a week afterwards, and I won’t be bedridden for the next few days just for wanting to look at a star,” said Jesse Stout, who suffered a severe spinal injury after a workplace injury and contacted ASV from hospital to find a suitable telescope for his condition. The telescope is part of the ASV’s ‘Pathways to the Planets’ project, which

aims to allow all people the opportunity to learn about and observe the wonders of the universe. The project will ensure ASV’s ‘Dark Sky Site’, located near Heathcote, has safe access to the entire site for people living with a disability or for people living in a wheelchair, via recently laid pathways and the new telescope. “We’re also planning on constructing a remote-controlled astrophotography observatory,” said ASV president Chris Rudge. “This will provide access to people who are unable to attend the Dark Sky Site in person or unable to observe through an eyepiece at all.” Minister for Regional Development Mary-Anne Thomas said she was delighted to see the project come to life. “This project is helping to open up the skies and astronomy for people of all abilities and making Science, Technology,

WHAT’S going to be different in your life from now on? I’ve been asking myself and others this question after what we have all gone through these extraordinary last couple of years. I reckon the great

thing about COVID (yes there are some positives!) is that it’s forced, those of us who are willing, to take a fresh look at our ourselves. This is the biggest opportunity in my lifetime for a healthy reset, where we can cast off old harmful or unproductive ways of doing things and focus on the things that are most important. Jesus, when asked what was most important,

suggested two main things – love God wholeheartedly and secondly, love our neighbour as we do ourselves. In my view, this is revolutionary – and the second is dependent on the first. Could these two things be the very things we are looking for to add true meaning to our life? For more information on local churches go to www. sheppartonchurches.org.au

The brave shave By Deanne Jeffers GRADE four student Hudson Allen shaved his head in front of his classmates at Bourchier Street Primary School during World’s Greatest Shave week, March 16-20. Hudson’s classmates joined him in coming to school with crazy hair and donating a gold coin to help the Leukemia Foundation achieve its goal of reaching zero lives lost to blood cancer by 2035. Both Hudson’s parents have wanted to cut his mullet during the 12 months his hair has been growing. They said they bribed him with money, new basketball shoes and even video games to convince him to lose the mullet. Mum, Alice Allen, said Hudson would only give up the mullet for a good cause. Hudson has raised more than $2,700. To sponsor Hudson for World’s Greatest Shave, please search for Hudson Allen at worldsgreatestshave.com

I applaud SPC’s decision to mandate vaccinations for all its staff by the end of November. It is a courageous decision and one that sets the tone for corporate Australia, particularly in light of the threat the Delta variant poses to families, communities, and businesses. Getting back to the Office, but why? A message from Michael Milburn THERE’S been a lot of commentary lately about getting employees back into the workplace, just like pre-pandemic times. The conversation has been Melbourne focussed as t here is a lot at st a ke economically to get people back into the city. So, what should regional employers do? My advice is do what works for your business and the people that you employ. Don’t be too quick to get back to the "good old days”. We know that quality people are hard to find and at the moment there is a lot of work out there, it’s definitely an employee’s market. Flexible working arrangements are a

huge benefit for your employees to keep them happy and motivated. Regional employers that I have spoken with talk about productive gains, employees having more autonomy to manage their workloads and the flow on benefits of a true work life balance. But then there’s the old school thought about if you can’t see them, what are they up to? Trust the work, if the work is getting done, then no issue. I f the work is not getting done, then that’s a different conversation. Learn your rights

Local organisation protecting most vulnerable FREE workshops for First Nations people who are living with disabilities, their families, carers and community will be held in Shepparton next week. You can go along to yarn, share stories and learn more about your human rights. “A s d isabi l it y advo c ates , we see discrimination too often and we want to highlight to the community that you do have rights,” said Rights Information and Advocacy Centre (RIAC) CEO, Karryn Goode. “First Nations people that have a disability or other marginalised groups may not be sure of their rights, or unfortunately they can be willing to accept mistreatment.” Advocacy is acting on behalf of someone to protect their rights. Advocates are like lawyers, in the sense that they help clients to express their own will and preferences. Advocates step in where there are power imbalances, such as between individuals a n d t h e i r e mp loye r s , g ove r n m e nt departments or even with disability support services. Organisations like RIAC work to empower vulnerable people through education and support. “ We a lways t a l k about bu i ld i ng someone’s capacity to self-advocate or to be able to advocate on behalf of family members.” Thanks to Victorian State Government, RIAC will offer free, face-to-face Uncle Lester Bostock human rights workshops

Council heard verbal submissions from residents on the proposal to sell or gift the land above the Maude, Nixon and Edward Streets Car Park on Monday, 7 March and Tuesday, 8 March. A total of 39 submitters were heard across the two days. The in-person verbal briefings assist Councillors in understanding the views expressed by residents and the community. Council officers will now prepare a report on the consultation process which will be considered at an upcoming Council Meeting.

Kerbside collection reforms

In response to the Victorian Government’s waste reduction targets, Council is proposing to make some changes to how your waste is collected. The proposed changes include separate streams for glass, food organics and garden organics, mixed recyclables and household rubbish. These changes aim to increase the quality of recycled material produced and reduce the amount of recyclable products sent to landfill. Let us know what you think via shaping.greatershepparton.com.au

Maude Street Mall redevelopment

Waterway update

Maude Street Mall redevelopment works continue with Stage 1 at the Fraser Street entrance opening next month.

The Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority (GBCMA) is delivering water for the environment down the Lower Goulburn River in a bid to attract more native fish. GBCMA environmental water and wetlands manager, Simon Casanelia, said the water delivery, which was aimed to attract Silver and Golden Perch into the Goulburn River, would continue until early April. “This annual water delivery is referred to as the Goulburn River Autumn Fresh,” Mr Casanelia said. “A fresh is flow that raises the height of the river to increase bank soil moisture, which helps plants to grow and improves habitat for native fish, platypus and water bugs.” The Goulburn River is reliant on Golden and Silver perch migration from the broader Murray River to sustain healthy populations. Read more about monitoring at www.flow-mer.org.au Benefits of water for the environment: Prompt native fish to move and breed

Boost recreational fishing opportunities

Create opportunities for tourism

Provide shelter and food for fish, birds, water bugs and other native animals

Stage 1 is home to the new playground and a special family-friendly mini opening is planned for late April. Stay tuned on Council’s social media for more information.

Region to support Melbourne Show PRODUCERS, growers and show goers in the Nicholl's electorate can once again look forward to the Melbourne Royal Show. The Nationals are providing $3.2M to the Melbourne Royal Show under Round 2 of the Supporting Agricultural Shows and Field Days program to support costs incurred from the cancelled 2021 event. The cash injection will ensure the show can successfully return this year after its cancellation in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19. Nationals Candidate for Nicholls, Sam Birrell, has commended the government on the program saying the Melbourne Royal Show is a great opportunity for agricultural producers in Nicholls to showcase their incredible produce and innovations. “The Melbourne Royal Show brings together people and business from across rural and regional Victoria to celebrate

excellence in agriculture,” Mr Birrell said. “After the cancellation of the Melbourne Show in 2021, I look forward to seeing exhibitors from Nicholls showcasing their expertise again this year.” In a normal year the show attracts around 450,000 visitors over 11 days and contributes more than $244M to the state's economy. Mr Birrell said agricultural shows and field days are more important than ever, they contribute significantly to the economy and they bring people together to celebrate and learn about the agricultural industry.

1978 Holden HZ Premier

THINK PAINT... THINK DARBY’S

Suppliers to auto industry for over 30 years  Paint and panel beating equipment  Custom mixed paint  From aerosol to 20lt 

By Deanne Jeffers STAYING with our celebration of Aussie muscle cars, the 1978 Holden Premier (HZ Series) is considered one of the last Holden’s to feature the traditional full-size chrome bumper. While visual changes in the Holden HZ were subtle compared to the Holden HX, this model introduced significant changes under the skin that greatly improved

Holden’s handling capabilities across all new models. ‘Radial Tuned Suspension’ (RTS) transformed the experience of driving a Holden, particularly by addressing the infamous understeer noted in earlier generations. The upscale Premier prioritised a high level of equipment such as the tri-matic auto transmission, which was standard for the range, as well as a long-range push button

radio, individually reclining bucket seats, and fingertip control for washes, wipers and headlights. This 1978 Holden HZ Premier, on display a MOVE Museum in Kialla, has a 5L V8 engine and comes equipped with the ‘Outback Pack.’ This includes a heavyduty battery, alternator and large radiator, a large fan, H/D springs and shock absorbers, and a ‘Turbo 400’ gear box.

DANIEL STRUDWICK

By Kelly Lucas ALMOST 120 participants turned up last Thursday March 17 at Princess Park, to take part in the eighth annual year of the ‘GV Harmony Cup’. To date there is no event like this in the region which allows people of all abilities to have a bat and a bowl at the famous game, we call ‘cricket.’ This incredibly special day which is presented by the Shepparton United Cricket Club started off with just fifteen local participants, now the event sees people travel in from out of town to participate. Event volunteer and coach Alana Baldy told The Adviser that she has been involved with the event for seven years and mentioned how incredible it has been to watch it grow to what it is today. “I am passionate about community involvement, community inclusion and breaking down barriers, and this day for me combines it all. Today I am here with clients from Connect GV, look at them, they are more than excited and that is why, I do this,”

said Alana. This event has been proudly developed by several community organisations that have a general interest in improving cricket participation in line with Cricket Victoria’s ‘All Abilities Action Plan.’

RAISING MONEY FOR A CAUSE... The Rotary Club of Seymour Charity Golf Day, raised money which will go back into the community. Photo: Supplied

Club’s first a smash hit Report from Nagambie The Rotary Club of Seymour held their inaugural Charity Golf Day on Sunday, February 27. The golfing event was attended by 44 golfers, who had a fun day in the sunshine. During their round, players were treated to complimentary food and other refreshments from two barbecues set up on the course and a mobile drink service.

The match was followed by a raffle and auction. All the money raised from the day will go back into the community. The Club would like to thank all the sponsors who made the day possible, including Seymour/Kilmore Toyota and The Trawool Estate. The support of the sponsors and partners and of Rotarians contributed to a very successful event. The Club want to thank "par-tee-cipants" for their

enthusiastic approach to the day. They look forward to welcoming everyone back next year to the second Rotary Club Seymour Charity Golf Day. The Rotary Club of Seymour Charity Golf Day winners: Men's four: Trevor Harmes, Greg Harmes, Andrew Clement and Richard Mills. Mixed four: Ken Witford, Mick Spagnolo, Rick and Judy Wills.

By Kelly Lucas SAT U R DAY, March 12 , saw Euroa Agricultural Society hold their second Autumn Beef Cattle Show, at the Euroa showgrounds. There was a fantastic display of over

130 head of cattle from thirteen different breeds, coming from Yanco, Wagga, Finley High School and many parts of Victoria. A successful and fun event for all that attended, with hopes that next year an event between NSW and VIC may be held.
