New pilates studio opens at Preston and Forest

Beyond Studios is now open on the northwest corner of Preston and Forest in the Village Square shopping center. This is the third location for the pilates studio, which first opened in 2010 and also has locations in Snider Plaza and off of Lovers. Beyond Studios offers 50-minute full-body workout classes on customized pilates reformers, fusing yoga, barre and strength training.

St. Bernard Sports comes to The Shops at Park Lane

Popular skiwear and clothing shop St. Bernard Sports is opening a discount outlet at The Shops at Park Lane in November. Until the new store is ready, St. Bernard has opened a temporary space between Evol and Gordon Biersch. The main Inwood Village store, which features sportinggoods brands such as The North Face and Patagonia, also carries trendy fashions for women. It’s preppy clothes for men are a big draw for collegiate males, with brands such as Vineyard Vines and Southern Tide flying off the shelves.

Food truck owners opening storefront in NorthPark

Green House food truck owners Robyn and Michael Siegel will open a storefront called Green House Market at NorthPark Center on Nov. 1. The restaurant will offer counter service, a fresh-pressed-juice and coffee bar, a wide variety of to-go options and catering. Executive chef Ben Hutchison will cook up staple entrees that also are sold from the truck, such as grilled ciabatta sandwiches and stir-fried brown-rice bowls. The restaurant also will display local and international art on a rotating basis. Current artists include Darren Bader, Walead Beshty, Ben Jones, and Ulli Wullf. Green House Market will be located on the second level, adjacent to the AMC theater, and will include a lounge area with wi-fi as well as patio dining.
