When Life Gives You Lemons...
Life Center: A Brand New Start
Stigler Impacts Rwanda
We have completed phase 1a of the Advocates Christian Academy in the heart of Rwanda. We desire to see students begin attending the school by the beginning of 2022. This state-of-the-art facility will host 270+ students per session (morning and afternoon).
Sophie, an 8 year old girl from Pennsylvania, came up with an idea to help a village in Rwanda that doesn’t have access to clean water. With her family and friends, she set up a lemonade stand to raise money for this village. After only one day, they had reached their goal!
An answer to prayer! Advocates for Africa was gifted a new Life Center location by the Rwandan Government. This new site allows for nearly four times the amount of women that can attend the Life Center’s vocational programs and is immediately opening new avenues for these ladies.
Learn how this small team from Stigler, Oklahoma is making a generational, lifechanging impact on the village of Shyara, Rwanda by funding the construction of a brand new church plant. We are thankful for their team, that loved the people of Rwanda so well.

A Letter From Our Founders
Sponsoring a Child Works!
Read a quick message of hope and thanks from our Founders, Jerod and Katina Smith as they’ve watched God genuinely gather an army of Advocates who are truly making a difference in Africa through your prayers and support. “Well done my good and faithful servant.”
The Advocates for Africa Child Sponsorship program is a vital part of what we do. Though the program is only three years old, we’ve seen nearly 450 children sponsored and have witnessed how the sponsorship has an impact physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
The Annual Advocates for Africa Celebration Banquet is coming up on Thursday, October 7th, in Oklahoma City. This will be our first live banquet since 2019 and we have so much to celebrate from the last two years. Find out how you and your friends can attend this year’s event.
Advocates for Africa has a new project iniative that launched this year. We have created a program devoted to re-roofing severely damaged roofs in Rwanda that leak during the rainy seasons in Africa, keeping the families that live beneath them sick for months.

Before leaving for Rwanda, the people of Stigler First Assembly helped completely fund a brand-new church plant in Shyara, Rwanda, through Advocates for Africa.
