Carillon is a versatile community development for living, working, shopping, wellness and recreation. The mixed-use transit-oriented development is strategically located at the end of the Washington DC Silver and Blue metro lines at the Largo Town Center station, and adjacent to the new UM Capital Region Medical Center. The combination of metro access, advanced medica care, and a walkable residential community create ideal foundation for a versatile, sustainable community.
The master plan transforms the site into residential, town center and medical districts organized around a pedestrian focused promenade down the center of the master plan. The streets and blocks maximize developable area within a carefully consider public realm, to create a welcoming sense of place for the human experience – a place to socialize, to create community and to create a neighborhood.
The master plan is phased to create a flexible plan allowing the plan to address market forces shifting between retail uses, residential apartments, medical office, and medical research without compromised the planning principals.
