Microsoft is surging in its cloud strategy. Last year, the company had revealed that it generated $1.7 billion in cloud revenue solely in September. Microsoft and Satya Nadella are turning the cloud business upside down with their cloud strategies, and that was inevitable. Last year, Microsoft outflanked even the perceived leader in the cloud business- Amazon. And this is how it did that Seamless architecture across devices and platforms – Microsoft has been focused on addressing the real-world needs of its customers by pinning down the ideas around AI capabilities, security and compliance, hybrid consistency, developer's productivity, etc. Azure has the crown – In 2017, Microsoft Azure's revenue had surged to more than ninety percent for four straight quarters, owing to its idea of consistency. Microsoft, through the Azure platform, promises consistency across data, app platform, identity, management, and security. Azure grabbing the workloads in global corporations – Nadella, during an earnings call with analysts revealed that in the financial services industry, for example, workloads that are moving to the cloud have become qualitative. We have become these organizations' trusted partners to help them build their technology capability over Azure. Dynamics 365 for SaaS – Nadella remarked that the idea behind designing Dynamics 365 was not to build another suite-based selling platform for ERP or CRM or SCM. But, it was rather built as an interconnection to the entire digital estate of a user, and that is the reason behind the success of Dynamics 365.
