DUNE: PART TWO

Richard Lawson,

HIS THREE DAUGHTERS

This tense, touching, and funny portrait of family dynamics follows three estranged sisters as they converge in a New York apartment to care for their ailing father and try to mend their own broken relationship with one another.

STORYLINE/PLOT SUMMARY: From writer-director Azazel Jacobs (French Exit, The Lovers) comes this bittersweet and often funny story of an elderly patriarch and the three grown daughters who come to be with him in his final days. Katie (Carrie Coon) is a controlling Brooklyn mother dealing with a wayward teenage daughter; free-spirited Christina (Elizabeth Olsen) is a different kind of mom, separated from her offspring for the first time; and Rachel (Natasha Lyonne) is a sports-betting stoner who has never left her father’s apartment — much to the chagrin of her stepsisters, who share a different mother and worldview. Continuing his astute exploration of family dynamics in close-knit spaces, Jacobs follows the siblings over the course of three volatile days, as death looms, grievances erupt, and love seeps through the cracks of a fractured home.

CAST & CREW: Starring Natasha Lyonne, Carrie Coon, Elizabeth Olsen, Rudy Galvan, Jose Febus, with Jay O. Sanders and Jovan Adepo. Written, directed, and edited by Azazel Jacobs. The director of photography is Sam Levy, the production designer is Kendall Anderson, and the costume designer is Diaz Jacobs. The hair and makeup team is composed of Jane DiPersio and Christen Edwards. The film features an original score by composer Rodrigo Amarante and original song, “In Time,” by Rodrigo Amarante.

PRODUCTION / DISTRIBUTION: The film is produced by Azazel Jacobs, Alex Orlovsky, Duncan Montgomery, Matt Aselton, Marc Marrie, Mal Ward, Lia Buman, Tim Headington, and Jack Selby. The film was released by Netflix in theaters September 6 and on Netflix September 20. The film premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival.

HIT MAN

He’s not a killer. But he can pretend.

STORYLINE/PLOT SUMMARY: Oscar-nominated director Richard Linklater’s sunlit neo-noir stars Glen Powell as strait-laced professor Gary Johnson, who moonlights as a fake hit man for the New Orleans Police Department. As Madison falls for one of Gary’s hit man personas — the mysteriously sexy Ron — their steamy affair sets off a chain reaction of play acting, deception, and escalating stakes. Co-written by Linklater and Powell and inspired by an unbelievable true story, Hit Man is a cleverly existential comedy about identity.

IN 2017, I DIDN’T THINK ABOUT IT. Fire! And devastation. A ll the amazing roles of a lifetime would never have prepared me for this. Taxi D river, Mean Streets, The Silence of the Lambs. I'd lived the highs of a great career under the lights. Yet nothing held a candle to ever ything—past, present and future—consumed in a flash. When a wild fire set my life ablaze, I didn't think about how ruin is something no one plans. That day taught me newfound respect for love, compassion, caring, and the incalculable need for an organization like MPTF.

Caring is Infinite, since 1921

IN 2000, I DIDN’T THINK ABOUT IT.

I was 27, a showrunner for Dawson's C reek , when we shared the first passionate gay kiss with the world. I didn't think about how the support of an entire community, as we stepped across that line, would change me forever. So when I learned of MPTF's pledge to “take care of our own,” I got it. Being a part of this industr y is my greatest honor, and part of that honor is supporting all of the people who help bring it to life. Because that support, that love, that caring—it changes ever ything.

Caring is Infinite, since 1921

Our Story and Mission

Lola Narvaez is the heart and inspiration of HER too. She battled HER2 positive metastatic breast cancer and after 12 years, passed away in 2019. She was the mother of founder Leyna Topete. The mission of HER too is to provide financial assistance to women for the cost of their breast cancer treatment with a focus on the underserved community.

In November of 2023, Leyna was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and fortunately was able to not only catch this very early, but quickly underwent a lumpectomy and radiation. While this is still very fresh and early for Leyna, she knew there was purpose in this devastating moment, and it was clear that another part of the HER too story was being written.

Please scan our QR code for more information about all the above. And sometimes against all odds, against all logic, we still

HER too has expanded its mission to advocate for early detection and help provide knowledge on breast health. The HER too mission has led to support from Dr. Leif Rogers, MD FACS who is donating a reconstructive surgery to a woman in the underserved community and a partnership with the Cecilia Gonzalez De La Hoya Cancer Center in East Los Angeles. We are proud to share that through our fund, we have already helped 154 women with treatment costs.

PIECE BY PIECE

An animated feature documenting the creative journey of cultural icon Pharrell Williams. Piece By Piece explores the evolution of an artist who tapped into his imagination to create some of music’s most innovative and memorable moments.

STORYLINE/PLOT SUMMARY: From Academy Award-winning director Morgan Neville comes a groundbreaking cinematic experience that tells the story of multi-hyphenate artist and producer Pharrell Williams. Before he would go on to redefine both the sound of popular music (with multi-platinum hits from “Drop It Like It’s Hot” to “Get Lucky” to “Happy”) and our style in the streets (via his own influential streetwear brand Billionaire Boys Club) and on the runways (as creative director of Louis Vuitton) for generations, Pharrell was just a restless kid living in the projects of Virginia Beach. Like any young dreamer, he felt like an outsider, uncertain about his differences — until he learned how to harness his individuality and turn it into his superpower. An animated biopic told entirely in LEGO animation, Piece By Piece tracks Pharrell’s journey in a fantasia of music, color, and life that affirms the universal truth that anyone from anywhere can build their dreams, brick by brick
