Red Bull Global Rallycross 2017 Season - Supercar Class
The Red Bull Global Rallycross Championship is carried out in tracks featuring a mixture of dirt and tarmac, a joker round, and a 70-foot jump. The competition is divided into two categories- Supercars (600 HP) and GRC Lites (320 HP). Renowned drivers such as Tanner Foust, Patrik Sandell, Travis Pastrana, Scott Speed and Stephen Arpin compete. In a race weekend there are two rounds of heats races. The field is then split into two groups of equal size for the semifinals. The top three finishers from each semifinal transfer into the main event. All drivers who do not make it into the final compete in the Last Chance Qualifier for the final remaining qualifying spots. Finally, ten cars then compete in the 10-lap main event.
