ABOUT US: Overview African Views (AV) is foremost a concept for raising awareness as well as an education framework about African consciousness on its needs and efficacy in the world. Some of our projects include cultural exchange programs for children and adults, panel discussions, as well as infrastructure analysis for economic and social development programs or projects.

The purpose of African Views is to provide value based education programs and to provide opportunities for drawing from and combining intelligence and wisdom from various indigenous cultures, professional disciplines, and scholastic departments worldwide.

We believe that technology makes it possible to organize research, produce, and distribute content cheaper, more efficiently on a global basis. We also think that globalization is fundamentally a point of view, a mind set.

African Views is also committed to finding solutions to common problems, as well as improve collective paradigms and visions, and create new opportunities.

We believe that the key to understanding this process is the degree of sensitivity and cognizance of cultural asset, knowledge of market needs and peopleâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s wants around the world.

OBJECTIVES

Our objectives as an organization are to attract, assemble, and organize ideological, intellectual and institutional information across many academic and professional disciplines into meaningful categories. Facilitate access to the information, provide logistics, and promote options to utilize this information strategically in overcoming the multilayered marginalization of the vast majority of African peoples within local communities, nation-states or in the global economic and political systems. Capture a wider scope of people of African descent and highlight inherent diversity of individuals, cultures, strengths, creativity. Provide a historical and current overview of the global African community and mobilize contemporary African centered scholars, institutions, as well as motivated individuals to share information and collaborate on presenting the history, culture and present condition of African people both at home and abroad. Information required and encouraged are those that serve towards building efficient, thriving, safe, stable, and just societies worldwide. Bring to light what the African population is like in a particular country. And, bring to light different cultures from around the world in order to educate and inform members of communities about their values for fair representation. Help communities determine where to locate services and how to allocate resources more efficiently by creating accessible databases and directories of available services. Create forum for interpretation of facts and statistics for more informed decisions. Provide forums for intelligent dialogue about existing issues including sustenance and effectiveness through blogs, interviews, journals, conferences and programs. Provide opportunities and encourage collaboration for development projects. Encourage proposals and development of positive solutions, in theory and in action, in regards to improvements in the areas of economic development, democratic values, gender disparity, socio-cultural values, infrastructure, quality of lives, health care, education, women and children welfare, governance, sustainable environmental practices, etc. To collect facts and figures that allow experts and audience to connect and interpret how those facts reflect Africans and African Diaspora conditions, development and issues everywhere in the world. To foster inclusiveness and positivity as well as promote collaboration between Africa and African Diaspora for better cooperation, creativity, positivity and a communal spirit among themselves and all people of the world. Promote integrity, accountability and transparency in African communities as development tool by providing performance reviews from the grass root level.

EDUCATION Encourage more open-mindedness about human diversity. Instill in people, especially children, a sense of deeper understanding of human dignity, encourage in them a love for learning about others and a sense of fairness.

ENVIRONMENT Mobilize a fresh understanding of Africaâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s responsibilities in the universal ecosystem and generate consensus for sustainable actions.

Our goal is to transcend old dichotomies; integrate existing cultural assets, new business processes. and information systems into one single - seamless value creating framework that is capable of bringing its entire global strength and resources to bear within each local knowledge market. AV PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES MANAGING THE AV FRAMEWORK African Views website is also known as AV framework. A significant part of African Views activities include making sure the AV framework components are constantly updated, work together within a network, and is integral with similar frameworks. NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PAST, PRESENT AND PLANNED ACTIVITIES BROADCAST RADIO: African Viewsâ&#x20AC;&#x2DC; radio (AV Radio) features interviews, comments, profiles and discussion with experts on African issues from all profession and academic disciplines; and is produced in collaboration with African Views Organization, other organizations and specialists. AV Radio Shows are committed to presenting well-balanced and unbiased perspectives on African issues and affairs in the world. Some of the current programs include African Heath dialogues, Women Empowerment, Socio-Cultural World development, and Greener Africa (Weekly Environmental Discourse).

BROADCAST TELEVISION: African Views Television (AVTV) features programs done by African Views and recordings of audio visual and rich content archiving for cultural exchange activities such as conferences, seminar, parades, and other forms of shared experiences that African Views organizes and covers. NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PAST, PRESENT AND PLANNED ACTIVITIES AFRICAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE (ACE) ACE programs are designed to fit the specific requirements of the hostâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s location. In most cases, the context of African is very vague and often misunderstood. This is why we have designed programs with fair representation of African values to children and adults. We believe that understanding the productive role of cultural attributes places everyone fairly in the inherent vibrant diversity of the society.

NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PAST, PRESENT AND PLANNED ACTIVITIES AFRICAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE INSTITUTE This proposal envisions creation of African Cultural Exchange Institutes around the world. We plan to build the first institute in Gweru, Zimbabwe. African Views Organization has been granted a space on about 25 acres of farmland in Gweru, Zimbabwe to build its envisioned African Cultural Exchange Institute. Our goal is to continue to draw partnerships and find sponsors to help achieve this goal. The African Cultural exchange institute in Gweru shall be the first in the series of a decentralized, participatory and partnership oriented entity at different levels. The purpose of the African Cultural Exchange Institute is to promote African cultural values and a better integration and participation of these values in the international cultural circuit. To this end, and with the vision to act as a mediator, as an interface between African and international cultural media, the African Cultural Institute pursues the development of solid, long-term partnerships between African and foreign cultural operators, both public and private.

AV provides a self-inclusion directory for African issues stakeholders in various fields of society development and sustenance on its website. Individuals and organizations in public, private, and independent sectors are added to inform the public about what they are doing and allow the public to provide a review and rating about the effectiveness and performance of the organizations or individual. At African Views, we believe that all sectors should be regulated and their activities be made transparent to the public. People should be in control of the kind of service and quality of service available to them. .

OPERATIONS Cultural exchange programs are at the center of our operation. The ability to gain insight in relative cultural values and current social situations provides us with the necessary information required to conduct effective cultural exchange programs for children and adults alike. DISSOLUTION OF ORGANIZATION Upon the dissolution of the Corporation or the winding up of its affairs, the assets of the Corporation shall be distributed exclusively to one or more charitable, religious, scientific, testing for public safety, literary, or educational organizations which would then qualify under the provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and its Regulations as they now exist or as they

Magister Adenrele „Adex“ Banwo Board of Directors, Member Has a master’s degree in Economics, University of Vienna, President of Austrian – Nigerian Initiative, and has been working on economic, educational, and cultural development projects between Austria and Nigeria, with a broader view towards the European Union and Africa for several years (www.ani.org). Mr. Ernest Kwabena Opong Director of Print Media Publication Born in Ghana. Taught at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (CUNY) for over a decade; worked as a copy editor for White & Case LLP, one of the biggest law firms in New York and later RR Donnelly. He is the founder, editor in chief, and publisher of Amandla, a newspaper serving African Diaspora community since 2003. He is a journalist and a human rights advocate. Education: BA (Hons) Philosophy; MS (Mass Communications).

Mr. Mamadou Kone Director of African Views Television (AV-TV) Pursuing his Master degree in diplomacy and international affairs, Mamadou founded of the founder of the African Day parade, whose mission is to bring together all people of African descent and to showcase and celebrate the beauty, richness and diversity of the African Culture--observed in NYC since 2005. With more than 6 years Marketing experience with Global advertising strategy as Manager of the Africa of the African department, Afrocarrib marketing group as general manager. Kone also have 5 years of television and video production experience. His experiences include working at Manhattan neighborhood network, the Youth Channel and ABC (good morning America). Kone’s passion for community development has driven him to mentor, volunteer and fundraise with organizations such as; Global actions project, Youth at risk; Youth channel , Miss guinea Organization, Miss Mali Organization , Mossisa, Burkinabe women association, etc...

Mrs. Kasandra Housley Director of ACE program initiatives Was born in Terre Haute, Indiana. She has a Bachelor of Science from Seton Hall University in international relations and is finishing her MA in Political Science at Indiana State University. Her topics of interest include, peace and conflict studies, African and Middle Eastern history, as well as economic development.

Mrs. Agnieszka Grzybowska AV Board Member Completed law degree at Setan Hall University. Has travelled in between Europe, America, and Africa. Strong interest in exploring various areas of solving root cause problems in Africa, mostly political and economic. In realm of politics, I envision incorporating various aspects of experience from, for example: Helsinki Group Watch and the Solidarity movement as means of mass- mobilization that can be in some form applicable in various African countries. “Economically, I am a strong believer of using African potential of keeping the growth rate at the highest possible level by making Africa a green friendly environment.”

Mr. Ronald E. Berenbeim Board of Directors, Member A Principal Researcher, Business Ethics, at the Conference Board. An authority on business ethics and corporate governance issues, Mr. Berenbeim has written 50 Conference Board studies. His 2000 report, Company Programs for Resisting Corrupt Practices: A Global Study was funded in part by a research grant from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. In 2001-2003 he served as a project director for a World Bank study of private sector anti corruption practices in East Asia, and co-authored, with Jean-François Arvis, Fighting Corruption in East Asia Solutions from the Private Sector (The World Bank 2003) which has been translated into Mandarin (2004) and Vietnamese (2005). His most recent Conference Board study is working at the Intersection of Human Resources, Ethics and Compliance – the Need for Collaboration (2009). He is currently serving as director for a Conference Board-World Bank project on Trade Competitiveness and Integration of Poor Countries in Global Supply Chains: a Persepctive of Global Suppliers and Producers. In 2010 he received a Fulbright grant to teach Business Ethics at the University of Cergy-Poontoise, Cergy, France. Mr. Berenheim wrote the codes of conduct section for the text Compliance Programs and the Corporate Sentencing Guidelines (Clark Boardman Callahan, 1993). In 2000 he was The New Zealand Centre for Business Ethics Visiting Fellow. He is a graduate of Cornell University, Balliol College Oxford (Keasbey Scholarship) and Harvard Law School. Mr. Berenbeim is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Stern School of Business, New York University, where he teaches Markets, Ethics and Law.

Served as Director of Research and Strategy before being elected to as the Executive Director of African Views. Prior to joining the Non-profit sector, he worked as the Director of Research and Marketing, raising money for Korean International Investment Funds. He has also worked for several distinguished financial firms such as Standard and Poorâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s, Reuters America, and Citibank Private Bank. Has a robust background in economics, research, data integration, variance and technical market-analyses, and marketing. He has more than fifteen yearsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; tenure in the financial market industry, a bachelor degree in Philosophy and Economics, and an MBA in Finance from Columbus University and University of Vienna.

Ms. Charlene Janecek Creative Director alias Leni Charles, is a recent graduate at the Vienna Advertising Academy, (Werbe Akademie Wien) Class of 2011. Prior to that, she was at the University of Vienna. She is pursuing her studies in England. She is a graphic designer and photographer. Ms. Nicole Johnson Director of Student Affairs Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Minor: African Studies (self designed) class of 2011 Allegheny College. Nikki, as she prefers to be called, is the Director of Student Affairs and manages of AV Student Chapters worldwide. Study Abroad, Kenya, University of Minnesota Studies in Development (MSID) - Earned 16 credit hours studying the many factors of development in Kenya. Developed working knowledge of Swahili through class time and relationships with host families, native friends and co-workers.

Mr. Alex Maxwell Outreach Director, Scotland Bachelor of Arts in International Economics, Minor: African Studies, class of 2011 Edinburgh University. Alex will be returning to do his masters degree at Edinburgh University to study International relations and African Studies.

KEY PERSONEL Dr. Surendra K. Kaushik AV Board Member Dr. Surendra K. Kaushik is a professor of finance at Pace University in New York since 1981, Chairman of the Helena Kaushik Education Foundation in New York and founder of the Mrs. Helena Kaushik Women’s College (www.helenakaushik.org) in India in 1999 which is affiliated with the University of Rajasthan. The college has grown on a 30-acre new campus with 900+ graduates with a B.A. B. Sc, B. Sc in Biotechnology, B.Ed., M.A., and M.Sc. in Biotechnology from 2002 to 2011. African Views is partnering with the institution to promote a joint student and cultural exchange program around the world. Mr. Mafa Kwanisai Country Director of Zimbabwe He has founded the Zimbabwe Youth Agenda and the Ujamma Youth Farming Project www.ujammafarming.org He is also an official representative of Zimbabwe on some Global Pan Africanist organisations .He also professes to a keen interest in anthropology, natural history, linguistics, African history, social justice, environmental issues, education and world peace.

Ms. Regina Aakia-Williams AV Board Member She is a Registered Nurse by profession, and also an actress, model, health program television producer, public speaker. She is also a provider of children healthcare services. As a model, Askia-Williams featured in several Nigerian commercials including Kessingsheen Hair Care, TCP, and most famously, Visine. In 1988, Askia-Williams won her university‘s beauty pageant - Miss Unilag (University of Lagos), and later competed and was finally crowned the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (Miss Nigeria 1989). Askia-Williams represented Nigeria in Miss Charm held in Leningrad, Russia, and Nigerian delegate at Miss International 1990 in Japan. In 2000, she was named Best Actress in Nigeria by Afro Hollywood London, and has earned several movie award nominations. Regina writes a column titled Saturday Clinic with Regina Askia Williams for THIS DAY Newspapers in Nigeria. She also contributes to African Views Radio as an RN and host of African Health Dialogues from New York City.

Mr. Oliver Oscar Mbamara AV Board Member Oliver wears many hats, literally. He is a filmmaker, award winning actor, poet, and writer, a lawyer, a publisher, philanthropist, and a thinker. He currently serves as an administrative law Judge with the State of New York, while simultaneously engaging in entertainment performances and other various philanthropic and educational activities. As a versatile writer whose works span the areas of drama, fiction, editorials published in many magazines, journals, websites, and poetry, he has won the several awards, and received honors and certificates for excellence and accomplishments, including the International Poet of Merit.
