A Revival of God Consciousness

Trumpism Success and Failure

All “ISMS” are schisms. Schisms divide, not unite. For example, racism, sexism, classism and most profoundly Trumpism. Trumpism is an “Ism” that encompasses every Isms on planet earth.

To be sure, the 73+ million individuals who voted for Trumpism in the 2020 Presidential election voted for White Privilege Autocracy rather than Multi-Cultural Democracy.

ank God for the great granddaughters, great grandsons of slaves, Godfearing Whites, and other minorities who saved America from the deep, dark abyss of White Privileged Autocracy (Trumpism). In the 2022 Mid-term election the Spirit of Abel (I Am My Brother’s Keeper) voted for inclusion and multicultural democracy. Glory to God in the highest, because: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2: 5).

America, if you truly desire the spiritual leadership mentality of the ungodliness of Trumpism,

you can have precisely what you spiritually desire, even (Trumpism), because the devil’s spirit is everywhere on earth. However, know that choices have consequences whether they be good or bad, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5: 10). For God’s sake will someone, please take this scriptural message to e Christian Right Evangelicals, e GOP, White Nationalist Groups, Fox “FAKE” News, some spiritually misguided Blacks and other minorities. God is angry everyday at sin, and “ e wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which maybe known of God is manifest in the; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power, and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” (Romans 1: 18—20).

A police o cer’s job is to serve and protect the citizens of the community. ey are not “errand boys,” “personal attendants, “or “chau eurs.” Texas Southern University (TSU) is currently under scrutiny regarding Mary Young, who serves as Police Chief for the campus. She told her o cers to stop doing “duties” for President Dr. Lesia L. Crump-Young, that is not part of their job description. When Young told them to stop, the university wanted her removed from her position and accused her of fraud. is fraud was due to the fact that the university is “understa ed.”

Fortunately, the judge granted an order that will allow Chief Young to keep her job temporarily.

Success is the greatest cause of failure! Someone once said that, “ e road to success and the road to failure are almost exactly the same.” It was further noted that the path to success is longer than the path to failure. When some people get in certain high positions, they tend to forget where they come from. ey think they have “made it,” and take advantage of the newfound power they have. ey feel entitled, powerful, and untouchable. ey don’t realize that at any given moment, that title and power can be stripped away just as fast as they received it.

LIKE FATHER LIKE SON POLITICS

In recent news, Donald Trump announced his plans to run for president and Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, made a campaign video that suggested he would run in the 2024 election. Considering the history of our country and the men who have led this “great nation,” would “We the People” be happy with the mockery that has taken place over the respected presidential position? ey say the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree. Like father like son?

Our nation was built on a document that was “written in 1787, rati ed in 1788, and has been in operation since 1789.” is document outlines certain guidelines and rules that has shaped the nation we live in today. For president, the constitution outlines that to serve as president, there are only three requirements a person must meet. ey must be 35, a natural born citizen, and have lived in the United States for 14 years. at is all that is needed.

ere is no degree requirement, no certi cation or training necessary. ere

are millions of people walking around this nation that meet these requirements. ese requirements make it seem as if anyone can be president. “We the People” built these requirements, but do these requirements hold enough value today for the most powerful position in the world?

On January 20, 2017, Donald Trump became the 45th president with no prior government service. Under his leadership, Trump has been known as a nationalist, a racist, a misogynist, one who spreads lies, conspiracies, and one who encouraged hatred, racism, and one who divided the nation. We also cannot forget the January 6th attack by angry Trump supporters in response to President Joe Biden defeating Donald Trump on the U.S. Capitol that occurred under his leadership that was motivated by his actions. Many people have been prosecuted and sadly some died. Trump was not help accountable for any

of his involvement.

Even when they found numerous classi ed White House documents at Maraa-Lago, Trump is still walking around free. How much power does one give an individual? Trump has been looked upon as someone who is untouchable. With this power, Trump wants to make America great again.

It was former President John F. Kennedy who said, “E orts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction. White, Black, Asian, Hispanic, etc., we need leaders who will lead with purpose and direction. Under

Trump’s leadership, we were and still are a nation that is divided and lost. If he is eligible to run and hypothetically gets elected again, who knows how much more turmoil our country will be in. Ye, a true loyal Trump supporter believes he has a shot at the White House and supposedly asked Trump to be his running mate, according to his supposedly rst campaign video. Over the years, many have questioned the mental state of the rapper as his behavior has offended many people, especially the Black community.

Back in October

2018, Ye met with Trump, who was president at the time and made concerning remarks regarding the “Make America Great Again” red hat he wore to the meeting and how he felt like “superman” with it on. He also discussed how he didn’t have a lot of “male energy” growing up, and how he looked up to Trump as a father gure. Like father Like son? Little does Ye know that Trump does not care about him but will use him to his advantage to achieve his goal. Ye has abandoned the Black community and has made his alliance with individuals like Trump and Nick Fuentes who is a White supremacist. Ye was also under scrutiny when he wore a White Lives Matter shirt to a fashion show. Ye has turned a lot of people o with his antics and ignorance. Has he forgotten who he is?

Has he forgotten that as a Black man in America, we can’t do the same things that other ethnicities do and get away with it. We are scrutinized

and held to higher expectations and standards then other races. He has lost a lot of money and support behind his comments and has forgotten the struggle and hard work it takes to get to that caliber of success he has achieved. Not only just as an individual in our world, but for a Black man, this status is not just handed out to anyone. Success is the greatest cause of failure.

Many have questioned the rapper’s intentions and how he got to this point. What was the mental shi that caused the rapper to lose it and betray his own community? He is a lose cannon that will never be president because no one will be able to control him and his outburst and tantrum like behavior.

Carter G. Woodson, author of e Mis-Education Of e Negro stated, “ e present system under the control of the Whites trains the Negro to be White and at the same time convinces him of the impropriety or the impossibility of his becoming White.” Ye can walk and talk like Trump all he wants, but he will never be Trump.

REFOCUSING AMERICA’S PURSUIT OF PERFECTION

In his January 20, 2022, Inaugural Address, President Joe Biden called on us to, “look ahead in our uniquely American way – restless, bold, optimistic – and set our sights on the nation we know we can be, and we must be. But many Americans were looking back to the unprecedented and tumultuous attempted insurrection of January 6th. Backward looking is not normal for a democracy –especially one like ours that is always in “pursuit of a more perfect union.” But you won’t nd perfection by looking backwards. President Abraham Lincoln reportedly once said, “I walk slowly, but I never walk backwards.”

President Lincoln led this country through an earlier period of internal turmoil, when there was no certainty that America would emerge intact. I believe President Biden faces similar challenges today. In addition to the political challenge that faced our country as he took o ce, our country was struggling to reduce the toll of Covid-19, restore our place on the world stage, reform community policing, keep our communities safe, combat climate change, and the list goes on and on and on.

President Biden took a page from President Lincoln’s methodical approach to move us forward. Within the rst six weeks of his administration, President Biden signed the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan. at law made Covid-19 vaccinations available, stabilized families, unshuttered businesses, reopened schools, and got people back to work. He followed that historic legislation with

another historic bill, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that is investing $1.2 trillion in roads and bridges, clean air and water, ports and rail, electric vehicles and making high-speed internet accessible and a ordability to every resident and business.

During our lively debate over the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, competing interests within our party were threatening that agenda

who had been subjected to toxic burn pits and Agent Orange, and the Safer Communities Act to combat gun violence and provide more law enforcement o cers in rural communities.

We also passed the In ation Reduction Act. While it was the largest investment ever to combat climate change, it also authorized Medicare to negotiate for lower drug prices and capped the cost of

massive numbers of Americans would step outside their comfort zones.”

at is what happened on November 8th. Many Republicans and Independents who are not usually comfortable voting for Democrats did so in record numbers. e election results seem to have changed the narrative from one of looking backward to one that is forward focused.

A er a better-than-expected midterm election cycle during his rst term, President Lincoln responded to a Michigan Senator and frequent critic from his own party, Zachariah Chandler, by saying, “I am very glad the elections this autumn have gone favorably, and that I have not, by native depravity, or under evil in uences, done anything bad enough to prevent the good result. I hope to ‘stand rm’ enough to not go backward, and yet not go forward fast enough to wreck the country’s cause.”

and our continued pursuit of a more perfect union. I urged members to step outside their comfort zones and nd common ground. We were able to subsequently cra the bill that President Biden signed into law.

President Biden’s poll numbers dipped dramatically as the pandemic lingered. But Democrats entered the 2022 election cycle comfortable with his approach and con dent in our agenda. We continued to focus on the future and passed muchneeded legislation: the CHIPS & Science Act to keep skilled technical and manufacturing jobs in the U.S; the PACT Act to provide health care and resources for military heroes

insulin at $35 for seniors starting January 1, 2023. President Biden and Congressional Democrats were putting the best interest of the American people over the politics of the moment, and the voters knew it.

While our legislative wins were impressive and unprecedented, the pundits remained focused on the noise and name calling. ey bought into the dire predictions that the voters would turn Democrats out in droves. I was o en asked, “What would it take to get beyond the acrimony?” My answer was always the same, “a de nitive election, one in which

Forward momentum is the only way to overcome the pull of the past and break the ties of those wanting a return to divisive and dangerous times. I believe President Biden has proven that he too will “stand rm enough to not go backward.”

With the House and Senate as closely divided as they are, progress will require that both sides step outside of their comfort zones and continue our pursuit of “a more perfect union.” e extent of our commitment and success will be determined by the American people at the time – and in the places – they usually render their decisions, at the ballot boxes.
