INTERNATIONAL MASTERCLASS CERN For the fifth year, the General High School is organizing a
Masterclass workshop on campus in collaboration with Aristotle University, Greek Physics Laboratory Center and CERN. This year's subject is "Advanced Particle Physics courses".
1ST HELLENIC YOUTH NATURALISTS TOURNAMENT in April, the School is hosting the National Competition as the preliminary round for the Greek Schools to the International Youth Naturalists Tournament to be held in Russia in the Summer of 2020.

Study Abroad • In January we welcomed our largest semester group ever – 25 students from 7 universities, all enrolled in classes with our full time Perrotis students. The group size marks 200% increase over Spring 2019 • Animal Sciences classes ran for the first time, receiving exceptional
student reviews, so will offer them again in Fall 2020 • 10 faculty led groups scheduled for 2020 Spring-Summer, a 66% increase from 2019

Study U.S.A. • Eleven students have been accepted with 100% need met to: Berea, Brown, Brandeis, Davidson, Dickinson, Indiana, Pomona, Richmond, Trinity, Union, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute • Total scholarships thus far: $2,500,000 (approximately)
• Current semester: starting this Spring, seniors are auditing Perrotis College classes to help ensure college readiness and academic success in their forthcoming first semester in the U.S. • Junior year: new approach to SAT preparation

• Pre-K, Kindergarten & Elementary: Inquiries appear increased in comparison with the same period
last year (+36% for Pre-K & K / +20% for Elementary).
• Middle School, General & Vocational High Schools: Inquiries appear lower than previous years. Information sessions are planned for the next 3 months.
• Junior College & Perrotis College: Top recruiting priority. Events, networking and information sessions are planned in the Spring.
STRATEGIC PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE
SPMO, going through its 4th year of operation, secured revenues of almost 2,200,000€ during the previous financial year. Secured revenues for the next period are already over 2,550,000€ as results for E.U. and state grant proposals has overcome last year's performance.
TRAINING & CONSULTANCY PROJECTS • 4th year of training courses offered by the Agro-food Entrepreneurship Center of Messinia in collaboration with the Captain Vassilis Foundation • The 3-year Trans Adriatic Pipeline Project, submitted through the Bodossakis Foundation is nearing its completion • Smart Farming Initiative in collaboration with super-market chain A.B. Vassilopoulos • Recharging the Greek Youth program sponsored by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation completed the 2nd year of implementation
• Little Green Farmers project has been approved • NanoBioPack project on sustainable food packaging is under way • NextFood Horizon research project half way through its implementation - currently exploring the possibility of evolving the project into a transnational European University Alliance • Various other proposals have been submitted - awaiting response

BUILDINGS & GROUNDS
TECHNOPOLI PLOTS Interest has been expressed for the purchase or development of part of the land owned by AFS (31,215 sq.m) in Technopolis
Park. Deloitte is primarily interested in a long term lease of a building to be raised on School’s plot (property E of 4,200 sq.m.) The
company will undertake the construction cost (estimated â‚Ź 6mil.) of the building. Dicussions are under way to determine the leasing terms, size and specifications of the building.
A second plot of 3,000 sq. m. in lot B interests for purchase a large and successful international business in tourism to house their national offices.
Construction of two new laboratories at Perrotis College A new structure is being funded by an USAID/ASHA Grant, to house the new

laboratories. An industrial steel construction will be erected next to the recycled water basin. Presently, completion of the required documents and permits is in progress,
pending final approval by ASHA. The project will be completed by November 2021.
Progress with the land acquisition in Galatista Chalkidiki A long term lease will soon be signed with the National Bank of Greece for the plot where
the AFS livestock will be relocated. Through this lease agreement, AFS has the right, under certain terms, to purchase. AFS has assigned an Engineering firm to investigate any possible claims on the plots, as well as the forest status of defined areas within the plot.
Extension of High School Educational Building Massachusetts Hall The A/E office that was assigned the studies of Haseotes Middle School / Auditorium, was selected among submitted bids. The proposal foresees the demolition of the front part of Massachusetts Hall and construction in the same place of a two-level structure. The project is estimated to begin in June 2020 and be completed in August 2021.
