Promoting Learning Through Play
Connetix Tiles was officially launched in June 2019 by two families who met when their children started primary school together. According to Connetix co-founder Brea Brand, these colourful magnetic toys can help develop children’s imagination and creativity, while fostering open-ended play.
Brea co-founded the company with her business partner Dave after seeing how much joy and learning the two families experienced while playing with magnetic tiles. Speaking with AGHA, Brea revealed that the pair decided to create their own version of magnetic tiles that were strong and safe, while offering clearer refractions than the current tiles on the market.
Expansion packs allow children to expand their creativity
“As an experienced primary school teacher, Masters qualified early childhood educator and mother to three, I am incredibly passionate about child learning and development. Meanwhile, Dave has a strong entrepreneurial background, alongside five years of working as a mechanical designer. His extensive experience manufacturing and shipping quality products enabled us to carefully source and work closely with reputable manufacturers,” she said.
Children appreciate larger collections of Connetix
Operating within the highly competitive Australian toy market, Brea said the Connetix team strives to ensure it continues to set itself apart with extremely high quality products.
“The success of our products and brand stems from this ambition. Connetix are high quality, non-toxic, ethically made, uniquely designed bevel magnetic tiles that offer clearer refractions, stronger magnets and support open-ended learning through play,” she said.
A wide range of tile shapes
Retailers looking to stock Connetix Tiles have a wide range of product options to choose from. “We aim to provide a range of options to suit people at different stages of magnetic tile play, from smaller introductory 62-piece starter packs to larger packs to allow for maximum creative fun. Our recent 212-piece Mega Pack was released in response to many requests for an option that would include every tile in every colour!”
“We also offer interest-based expansion packs such as the 24-piece Motion Pack or 92-piece Ball Run Pack, smaller expansion packs and our soon to be released Geometry Pack. One of the most frequent feedback comments we receive is that you can never have enough Connetix, so we find people are mostly after larger packs or interest-based expansion packs.”
Endless creative options
Brea added that Connetix Tiles highly values its relationships with stockists and works closely with its retail customer base to ensure success for all. “We always strive to provide both our retailers and customers with personable, timely communication so they realise they are respected and valued. We also love to help promote our retailers by including all Connetix retailers on the store locator on our website.”
Strong, safe and durable magnetic tiles
The business is set to launch several new products which will be available to order now. “We have so many exciting product launches in the pipeline! We have just released our new Geometry Pack and Car Base Pack and we have our new pastel tile range launching in the coming weeks, which is already proving to be hugely popular with our customers and existing retailers!”
