Underwater Windows Sydney Wildlife World - Crocodile Enclosure Darling Harbour - Sydney NSW, Australia For this new enclosure, AGP was contracted to design, supply and install an underwater glass wall, capable of withstanding the loads of the water, but also the loads from the 5 metre long 800kg male saltwalter crocodile. With its experience from the Polar Bear Exhibit at Sea World, AGP designed the wall, comprising 10 panels 2300mm high with widths ranging up to 1700mm. The glass is multi toughened laminated with a Sentry Plus interlayers and due to access restrictions, each panel needed to be lifted into position by hand, a task requiring 14 tradesman per panel. The glass was sealed with specially designed underwater gaskets, with structural silicon and stainless steel cover plates securing them in place.

Underwater Windows Polar Bear Exhibit @ Sea World Sea World Drive - Gold Coast QLD, Australia These huge underwater windows 3100mm high by 1500mm wide and 60mm thick were designed to withstand not only the hydrostatic pressure from the water but also the impact loads from the playful 300kg polar bears. The laminated glass was encased in a special AGP continuous pressure sealing gasket and contained in a 316 stainless steel custom made frame system. The whole project was a very specialised operation requiring intensive forward planning and on the spot decision making, to address the unforeseen problems that arose. Despite these difficulties, AGP completed this project on time and in budget.

Underwater Windows Private Residence Parriwi Road - Mosman NSW, Australia As a feature to this pool overlooking Sydney’s Middle Harbour, AGP designed, supplied and installed special underwater glazing, including a frameless glass edge infinity wall, as well as two glass floor panels, that serve as skylights to the entertaining area below the pool.
