ARCHITECTURAL ICONS 1867-1930 AGUSTINA CASAS SERE LEGUIZAMON

ART & JEWLERY Inspired by Architectural Icons between 1867-1930. Each with its unique history, functionality and design, or, but all share his genius in architecture and its international recognition as global icons. e Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Completed in 1883, it connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Broklyn by spanning the East River. It has a main span of 1,595.5 feet (486.3 m), and was the first steel-wire suspension bridge constructed. Since its opening, it has become an Icon of New York City, and was designated a NationalHistoric Landmark in 1964 and a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmar in 1972. e Eiffel Tower is an Iron Lattice Tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris. It was named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. Erected in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World’s Fair, it was initially criticised by some of France's leading artists and intellectuals for its design, but has become both a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. e tower is the tallest struture in Paris and the most-visited paid monument in the World. e Chrysler Building is an Art Deco style skyscraper in New York City, located on the east side of Manhattan. At 1,046 feet (319 m), the structure was the world's tallest building for 11 months before it was surpassed by the Empire State Building in 1931. Is also a classic example of Art Deco architecture and considered by many contemporary architects to be one of the finest buildings in New York City. In 2007, it was ranked ninth on the List of America's Favorite Architecture by the American Institute of Architects.
