Between integration and segregation This Project Received honorable mention Share the burden (“shivion banetel”) became a “fashionable” term in Israeli politics and occupies a much of the public talk. If we compare this concept to the term that was common in the first years of the country, “melting pot”, it seems that this is an historical issue preoccupying the country since its establishment. “Melting pot” is a threat for the separatist ultra-Orthodox population. Social and cultural seperation that exists in Israel is reflected by segregation in cities and creates space based on cultural islands In contrast to these ideas, the “multi-culturalism” and “inter-culturalism” are alternative approaches. They represent cultural mosaic and greatly reduce anxiety of the ultra-Orthodox population. These approaches recognize the ultra-Orthodox community’s right to preserve their unique culture and encourage their integration with other areas of life In the past there was a close relationship between government policy and architecture. Public housing was an agent of the government policy This project examines the relationship between architecture and policies and examines the term ”inter-cultural architecture”.

Between integration and segregation
Tel O Fun Pavilion Parametric design Residential environments in which we live today suffer from the ills of mass production. Planning and designing of residential environments has become a mechanized process. We live in duplicated cities and neighborhoods. The design process is eliminated in favor of speed and profit, irrespective of the specific environment or the specific customers. Today we are in the midst of a third industrial revolution, the revolution of mass customization, which enables Full satisfaction of customer needs without increasing costs or production times. Today, a large number of companies are adopting the strategies of mass customization at different levels in their product development cycles. This project examines whether these strategies can be integrated into architecture

The old train Station Winning third place in an architecture students competition The story of the city “Nesher is related to the story of Hejaz Railway. Today, one hundred years after the train made its way from Haifa to Damascus for the first time, the remains of the old station are still standing. The original train stations of Hejaz Railway are still there, but unfortunately, none of them will return to serve as a stop on the new route. However, the current rail stations planners are obliged to keep the historical stations This project offers to preserve the old station as part of the new railway station complex. The building will serve as a historical gate to the station and to the city. While waiting at the platforms the station guests are exposed to temporary exhibitions of local artists. The new station building will echo the voice of the old station. The guests will pass through the station Museum that tells the story of the city
Done in collaboration with Hadar Refailov and Bat-el Moshe.

Home of words 4th year project The public space is one of the most significant terms in urban culture and urban design .However the reality is not always verified this conception. Today many public spaces reflect processes that runs in the urban society. The Social and cultural divide in Israel is a part of the distributed and differentiated urban environment. The Criticism d about public spaces can be divide into two groups: Under management - focused on neglect. Taking over public spaces in favor of private spaces or semi-private. Over management - a public space privatization. Space that intended for consumption, suffers from a congestion of entertainment elements and closely monitored to prevent crime or misconduct. This site is a clear example for “over management” public space. There are variety of factors that affect the nature of space: load of entertainment programs, levels separation, opaque facades, limited movement, middle– high society class and No shading. The project examines how to “bring back“ the public domain into the public space.
