WHAT IS AIAA? The American International Accreditation Association of Schools and Colleges (AIAASC) is legally approved by the New York Board of Education.

AIAASC is a division of

American Education Consulting Associates (ECA), a New York State not-for-profit Corporation (501-C3) established in 1992.


WHAT IS AIAA? ď ˝AIAASC

was created to provide schools and colleges with

accreditation services for institutions overseas that follow a full or partial American curriculum. ECA is governed by a self perpetuating Board of Trustees who delegate authority to operate AIAASC to a commission, whose President and Vice-President are also President and Vice-President of the Board of Trustees of ECA.

HOW DOES A SCHOOL BECOME ACCREDITED? 1.Complete

the application for membership found at

www.aiaasc.org 2.Submit

the application fee and first year fees for

accreditation. 3.Conduct

a thorough self-study that demonstrates how well

the school meets the accreditation standards. 4.Conduct

an initial site visit by AIAA staff.


TRANSFER OF ACCREDITATION Any applicant school that is already accredited by one of the six regional accrediting bodies in the United States shall be allowed to transfer the currently held accreditation status with that body and receive reciprocity for that accreditation status. After transfer, the school must agree to follow AIAA policies and procedures.
