Angela James’ rich, crooning style is inspired by singers from her upbringing in Tennessee. James’ latest album, Now That I Have You, is an embrace and celebration of a new phase of life. Her debut LP, Way Down Deep, was called one of the best Chicago records of 2014 by Red Eye/Chicago Tribune, and her music has been praised by WBEZ, the Chicago Reader, the Chicago Tribune and Tiny Mix Tapes. She will be joined by pedal steel player, Jordan Martins.
